Good surprise: the entire linebacking corps.

Bad surprise: Harris, Dunbar, and Escobar. Simply because I thought we'd see those guys being utilized more than they have.

Joseph Randle looked terrible last year. He was slower than an elephant with arthritis and seemed allergic to making positive yardage. This year's version has looked quick and crisp. He doesn't have a lot of wiggle, but he hits the hole and runs hard. Maybe it's the better blocking up front, or maybe he was hurt last year? All I know is I went from wanting him cut, to seeing the value he has as a backup.

It is clearly Demarco Murray. No one could have predicted the league leading historic pace he has set so far rushing the ball.

Murray is hands down the league MVP after 5 weeks. And there is no one else even close.

McClain. I laughed out loud when I saw that the Cowboys traded for him and thought we were a joke to even attempt that.

I said this would happen with McClain when we signed him as long as his head was on straight.

It has to be Sterling Moore or Ronald Leary

Escobar, complete non factor and frankly and huge bust right now.

Huge bust like that guy playing TE in Chicago right now catching all the TD passes. If the QB doesn't throw you the ball and the coaches don't design plays to give you an opportunity you aren't catching the ball.

Gotta be Ro. I still can't believe we got him and a 7th for a 6th. What a great trade, one that might get us into the playoffs this year, and next year, with Sean Lee back, maybe deep into the playoffs.

Wait what? Why is he a bust? Because he is underutilized? How is that his fault? Frankly that is a insult to him. His blocking is fine from all reports. Linehan just rarely calls his number.

I think we're just not showing all of our cards yet.

We're doing one thing well, and until someone really stops it consistently, why tip our hand?

At least this is my hope.

Philip Rivers would like a word with you out back.

Is it Escobar's fault he isn't being used by Garrett and Linehan? Escobar has talent. He is far from a bust. It is hard to get playing time from Witten. No need to hate the player just because you don't like the round he was chosen in.

Sean Lee was a big surprise, didn't like the pick, then he was awesome for a while.
Most recent Ro Mc, never expected him to be this good...

Demarco Murray for me. I thought he was good but didn't know he'd ever be an MVP candidate .
