I doubt very seriously he would do that. Bringing in Kellen Moore as the head coach isn’t going to excite the fan base. Cowboys Nation is real down and Moore as HC would just add more doom and gloom.
It's not making sense because it doesn't make sense. Are you expecting Jerry to do something logical......now? When has Jerry accounted to the fan base?

Belichick would never be given the control he would want so he isn't coming to Dallas. Jerry is the only one allowed to make decisions, afterall he knows football better than anyone, just ask him.

Bill Parcells. The team was a mess when Campo was here and he brought in BP because he had to get back in the fans good graces. Plus he needed the stadium at the time. But that move was all about saving face and he's reached that point again.

Yes he would, Jerry is a desperate man willing to do things he's never done before.
No, he is not. Him getting angry during the weekly interview and clarifying he is the only one to guide the Cowboys is very reflective of his state of mind.

I hope you're correct. Bill B will not touch this without some managerial changes/control or a few extra Brinks trucks. The managerial part scares me with Jerry.

This morning's interview on The Fan pretty much cemented this for me.

In 2020, Jerry felt the roster was close, but had underachieved. He was set on hiring a coach with experience winning in the NFL to get the team over the hump:

"One of our primary goals in selecting the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys was to focus on a proven team-builder and winner. Someone who's got a proven track record of winning not only consistently, but at the highest level," said Jones, per ESPN. "[In] Mike McCarthy, we found a coach who not only checked those boxes, but also has the experience of taking an NFL team to the biggest stage, the Super Bowl, and completing the job."

It's obvious that Jerry feels the same way today. He said as much this morning. He thinks the roster he's assembled is good enough to compete with the best teams in the league. He's paid his WR, he's paid his CB, he's paid his QB. So why aren't we winning? It doesn't matter if you agree, that's how he feels. So if the team fails to meet his expectations, the logical conclusion is going to be to replace the guy in charge of the on-field product. Jerry will once again be looking for a proven winner, and no one has won more than Belichick.

Jerry and Bill have been very complimentary of each other in the past and Bill has spoken highly of the organization on his podcast this season. I'll be curious to see if he bites his tongue if/when they discuss last Sunday's beatdown. Yeah, you're probably going to have to deal with his goon squad of Matt Patricia, Josh McDaniels, et al. tagging along. They come with the territory. Oh well, would you rather have Jerry forcing a head coach to hire his buddies like Zimmer?

For the record, I'm fine with this. The only problem Belichick has ever had in coaching in the last two decades was not being able to find a capable QB after Brady. This team has one. Argue all you want about if Dak is elite, great, or merely good. He can get you to the playoffs and with Belichick that's probably all you need, if you trust he's going to take care of the rest (fix the defenses, beef up the trenches).
It definitely feels like he would be the lead candidate. I would hate that move, Bill lost that NE team last year, made some terrible personnel decisions, and burned bridges to the point no one else wanted to hire him. Time to go with a fresh coach and not a recycled one again.

The one thing that I think he could change is players that don’t tackle or aren’t physical are likely not to play. I also think the Cowboys would score 8 points per game under him. I’d take Belichick.

One big difference between McCarthy and Belichick.
It's called Jerry. Get the heck off my practice field.

Yeah ok

Bill would tell Jerry and Stephen to shut up and mind being an owner and that he’s in charge of on the field stuff not them

I agree with that. I don't even love the idea of a 73 year old HC, but if it were to happen he will certainly have demands that would include less meddling from Jerry and his kid and hopefully he can fix the D line which really been a major issue for a long time.

I don’t see Belichick taking this job simply because we are trending down and Dak’s contract is an anchor.

We need a builder and Belichick is a terrible builder imo.

I agree I don't think it would work out the way some think it would. But by seasons end I think Jerry will be in desperation mode and this type of move wouldn't be a surprise.

Why did the GOAT Brady bump heads with Belichek so much that Brady just had to get away from NE and into his final years in TB ..?

Why was it that famed owner Bob Craft felt compelled to out Belichek outta NE, after what 5 or 6 SBs and an astounding dynasty run ..?

Belichek has total control in NE with drafts trades, coaches, cap, etc. .. but he apparently was so difficult to deal with, both the GOAT
QB and owner wanted to part away from as much as possible .

If Belichek comes here, he'll want so personnel control and that means McClay is gonna want out .. i say the hell with him, Hire a young innovative HC which is the trend of te NFL .. not vet retread HCs .. (sigh) ..but knowing Jerry and stubborn, set- in- his -ways ..we could likely see Belichek, or a Pete Carroll in the midst ...
