Bill Paxton, Dead At 61

:banghead:

I've seen the commercials but forgot all about his new show.
I loved the movie so I recorded the series and binge watched the first three shows yesterday. He played the Denzel character, bad *** tough cop.

Great actor, and genuinely a great person. Not to mention a Fort Worth Native.

RIP Bill, you will be missed.

RIP Mr. Paxton. He had a leading role in one of my all-time movies, A Simple Plan. He will be missed.

I just saw his interview for his new tv show - Training Day

"Hey Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man?"

"No, have you?"

Pretty weak that Anniston is the only one who mentioned him at the Oscar's. He wasn't even in the memorial bit :(

Will always remember him for his roles in Tombstone and True Lies. He delivered many memorable lines in both films.

Paxton is also in one of my all time favorite movies- Frailty. I believe he also directed or produced that movie as well. Great film. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.
This. Especially regarding Frailty (very underrated horror flick) but loved him in the prior two you mentioned as well.

This is a good joke tbh, as the two were confused for each other in quite a few movies. RIP respectfully even so.

Dang. Complications from surgery? That's rough. Wonder what kind of surgery it was.

Really like him in Frailty.

Always liked that guy.
Good actor and seemingly a very good person.
RIP

As morbid sounding as that is, that particular quote from one of his best supporting acting characters is a fitting tribute. All (literally) of his lines from Aliens were well delivered.

It was the memorable lines that certainly allowed him to steal that movie from all the other actors. But his character arc was also so well done, and just so well acted in Aliens. From the Bravado crap talking in the beginning, to become the scared flawed soldier, to dying in a blaze of glory and fighting to the bitter end. Bill Paxton made that movie for me, and still stands as one of my favorite movies of all time.

To me, that character and role is just iconic and I'm not sure any other actor could have pulled it off.

Great actor for sure. He will be missed.

You nailed it. Well said.

They were too busy backing up the Bus on the Best Picture Screw up.

61 is way too soon to be gone.

RIP - William "Bill" Paxton
