Smart move with Stroud on rookie deal and the way he has played.

Unfortunately, Stroud has to win it all in next three years or be kicked to the curb since he wont be worth the contract if he doesnt win it all.
He looks every bit worth the deal he’s going to get if he continues what he was doing

Well with Dell injured, this ensures that Stroud still has toys to play just in case Dell's rehab doesn't go as planned.
It's fine for the Texans, I was referring to if the Cowboys had made the trade... the reaction here.

Would you have traded our 2nd next year for Diggs, a 6th and a 5th next year?

Stroud seems like he could be one of the few "Mahomes" type players that can literally will you victory every week in spite of what you surround him with.

I'll be interested to see if he levels up this year. If he does, he will join the upper echelon of QBs.

They got Diggs, a 5th, and a 6th for a 2nd, next year?

The difference in trade value is about 365 points, which would be the 53rd pick.

Would you trade the 56th pick for Diggs?

Assuming you were interested in trying to win and not this current version of Stephen Jones rationing slices of pie.

Is this really a "blockbuster trade", oif it for a single future 2nd rounder?

Doesn't the compensation need to be high to qualify as "blockbuster", or does it just need to be a household name, even if he's a bit past his prime?

(Or maybe I'm just quibbling over semantics)

If he doesnt win its on him and he doesnt deserve market rate for QB's.

Thats the standard thats been set around here.

He has Mahommes and Reid to go through.

Good for Jerruh not chasing after a guy on the tail end of his career.

We're going to be a declining team the next couple years...and need to retool with you talent on rookie deals, not bringing in old guys when we aren't going to be good anyway (not good enough anyway).

Our 2025 2nd round pick might end up being in the 30's! We need that pick
