I can't think of a less mobile QB in the league. And I'm not talking about running ability...I'm talking about escapability...and it's not going to get better with age.
It's my opinion that he'll never take this team to elite status...even if we have a good offensive line...a VERY good offensive line? Perhaps. BUT we have a long way to go before this O Line is very good.
If that's what you want, we either have to get hella lucky in the draft, or suck bad enough to get that franchise QB. IMO, building a strong team is more of a sure thing, you can plug in someone at QB, and as long as they have the skill, they will excel. That's what I think Parcells is doing with Henson. Building a strong, solid top to bottom team, then putting him in when he stands a decent chance at success. (Henson or Romo, whatever) Until then, I think Bledsoe can take this team to elite status. We were on our way. You can cite parity, and it is what it is, but how many teams lost three games because of a singular player-position? None.
