I would pick Ben, because i am sane..........

Bledsoe threw the ball 231 more times then Ben did. When you only have to throw 268 times then its going to be easy to keep your rating up because that means you are running over people. I seriously doubt if Ben could keep his rating above 70 if he actaully did throw the ball 500 times.
Next idiotic statement please.
Edit: Bledsoe threw an INT every 29.3 attemps while Ben threw an INT every 29.7 attempts. That number would probably jump considerably if he did throw it more.
I did, and it would probably jump if he had to throw more.iceberg said:"probably" - i take it you never took statistics courses in college?

It doesn't take a sophisticated (or even unsophisticated) statistical analysis to conclude that the numbers would drop if he had to pass more. There's no real need to analyze this when its completely obvious.iceberg said:if you did (and did well) you'd not mix in the "maybe" and "probably" in your analysis. statistics are *not* that easy and certianly *not* that clear cut. do you even have enough passes *now* to get a clear sample or are you just flinging out end-numbers to bolster your side of the argument?

Drew threw an INT every 27.4 attemps in games he had 25 or more passes ( 351 total passes ).
So.. It sure does look like Bens INTs would go up afterall if he did throw more.

iceberg said:i'm sure it does. but the point is - is 151 passes enough to compaer to 351 *and* be statistically valid?
Slyster said:In this case I think it does. That would be an average of 30 passes over 5 games which I think is a good amount.

iceberg said:so in 5 games, you can tell how a qb will perform over a career?
again, we're comparing a 2nd year qb to what again, a 14 year vet?
any chance at all ben will get better at some of this stuff or do his first 150 passes spell doom for his entire career on this stat?
i think not.
