Bledsoe or Roethlisberger?

Here is another stat for you. In 2001 ( the year before Bledsoe ) Eric Moulds had 67 catches for 903 yards and Peerless Price had 55 catches for 895 yards.

In 2002 Eric Moulds had 100 catches for 1287 yards and Peerless Price had 94 catches for 1252 yards. Clearly he made the Bills and the players around him better.

In 2001 the Bills were 27th in scoring. In 2002 they jumped to 11th.

In 2004 the Cowboys were 25th in scoring. In 2005 they were 15th.

I am really tired of beating you guys down. Try to come up with something good before you guys post again.

wow - who made it a fight vs. just talking man? got some inane need to "beat people up" online?

I didnt. You didnt. I used that term as what I did to your arguments. Though I really do hope you knew that and are joking.

i'm gonna go sit over here and yawn with everyone else now.

carry on.

Like someone said before, Im sick of all this "Drew didnt have xoxoxoxo and didnt have xoxo while Ben and Brady have xoxoxox"

And i love how some of you guys use these numbers to prove you point but dont look at the basics. Want some numbers? Look at Drew's career. His best year, he was still mediocre.

60% completion (not impressive)
3706yards (great yardage as always, basically only thing good about him, maybe because he has to pass it an avg of 34 times a game)
28TDs (good)
15 INTS (bad)
sacked 30 times (great for him)
Passer Rating 87.7 (ehh at best)

So look, no player will have the perfect cast around them, so for christ's sake chill about how bledoe would be great if he had an O-line, defense, great RB, etc etc.

Have you ever though that maybe Drew hasnt found the "right system" because there really isnt one for him besides say a KC? How ridiculous is it to say that Drew, even with a SB caliber team, never had that great cast to make him a truly elite QB.

Bledsoe will not win a SB (not because he is a cowboy) but he has so many physical aspects of the position down, but the guy finds ways to lose a game and screw himself up.

It never ends......when the TEAM loses, it's all Bledsoe's fault....but when the TEAM wins, it's never because of anything he contributed individually.

What type of numbers do you think Peyton Manning would have without the edge, harrison, wayne, and a stellar oline (who he called out and made an excuse for when he was hammered by the steelers)??

What type of numbers would your washed up boy Brunell have without Clinton Portis and Santana Moss? Actually he still pretty much sucked that's why you had to add two other overrated receivers.

How about Hasslebach? Watch his numbers decline significantly now that Steve Hutchison isn't up front protecting him. Oh that's right he has another all pro blocking (walter jones) and the league MVP running the football for him?

Trent Green, Big Ben, I could go on and on with this.....but the bottom line is Drew has done so much over his career with so little....and this is FACTUAL information...but yes he isn't immortal and can't do it alone, and at least he's kept garbage teams competitive despite not making the playoffs every single season.

Tom Brady is the only guy you can make an arguement for that is truly in a class by himself playing in an offense with no true starpower and winning 3 world titles...but even Teflon Tom had a great coach, devestating defense and the most clutch kicker of all time.

If the offensive line plays well, the running game starts clicking, and TO does his thing and Bledsoe doesn't have a HUGE season and make a deep playoff run in 2006, then maybe I will admit that he's nothing more than a good stat padder, but you can't ignore the guys career numbers regardless...you just cant.

The NFL truly is a team sport, but if there is one guy over the years that has had his number of outstanding MVP type of performances...it's Bledsoe, and that's why he's one of my favorite players of all time...I have and never will be a pats fan but have always admired him and glad he's on the cowboys now!

All this time and I forgot to add that Bledsoe has 33 4thQ Comebacks / OT wins.

So much for him not being clutch and finding ways to lose huh?

lets all be honest... bledsoe is done... DONE. Brunell is done. DONE. And im fine with that because im looking forward for J. Campbell to come in and take his place. I would take Big Ben in the blink of an eye before i would take Bledsoe. Hmmm. Big Ben- 2 years... 1 superbowl. Bledsoe- 12 years... 0 superbowls. i wonder... who is the better Quarterback???

I take Ben Rothlisberger over Drew Bledsoe any day... I take Omar Jacobs over Drew Bledsoe anyday... I'll Take Reggie McNeal any day over Drew Bledsoe...

In 96 Curtis Martin ran for 1152 yards with a 3.6 yards a carry and 14 TDs. The Pats D was also #14 in points allowed.

In 97 Terrell Davis ran for 1750 yard with 4.7 yards a carry and 15 TDs. The Broncos D was #7 is points allowed.

In 98 Terrell Davis ran for 2008 yards with a 5.1 yards a carry and 21 TDs. The Broncos D was #8 in points allowed.

Would you like to change your line of thinking?
NO you do realize that Elway was in the Superbowl ThriceWITHOUT Terrell DavisI am not sure how many ways or times I need to say that to you...and he had no real "name" players at those times...sheesh

those were pretty good rosters
WHAT are you talking about? did you guys not know that Elway went to the superbowl thrice without terrell Davis

Slyster said:
Are you seriously comparing the 96 Pats to the SB Broncos?

Keith Byars? You are joking right?

You have 2 people on offense that are / were good. What happened to Terry when he no longer played with Drew? Thought so.

You have 3 on defense that are good ( Millow , Law and Mcginest ). Tedy was hardly the player then as he is now.

:lmao:
What the freak are you guys talking about....Oh I get it you and the other guy are just play acting stupid :)...again...I repeat...I said Elway brought his team to the Superbowl thrice with nothing much on his roster...

Elways has been there 5 times you knuckleheads

try looking at SB XXI, XXII and XXIV

here is the link because i believe you two may not be smart enough to find it by yourselves

First Bledsoe gets basehd because of his numbers in the SB. Now its because he only lead the Pats to 1?

Elway the Great has 3 TDs and 8 INTs in the SBs. With 1 TD and 2 INT coming with Terrell Davis. Including 2 SBs in which he did not throw a TD pass.

Bledsoe = Elway.
elways post season stats

After this comment I guess its pretty safe to put you on ignore since not much useful can come from someone who thinks this.

This is what your posts look like to me.

Dear Mr. Winicki

I am writing you in hopes to get your professional opinion on a matter of great concern to me.

As you well know I wasn't thrilled to have Bledsoe quarterback my beloved Cowboys...I find him to be a barely acceptable starter (that may just be me) but in all my born days I never thought I would see something like this..

Bledsoe = Elway. Bledsoe > Big Ben

Drew is an elite passing machine while Big Ben is just a game manager for a physical team that's success is based on their running game and defense.

I could have seen someone arguing the case with me that bledsoe is a bit better than average (because of the yardage) They would of had to convince me first that Vinny is above average... But that Bledsoe is a good/very good/GREAT or even THE GREATEST

...please...

I am at a total loss as to what I am suppose to think/do about that... should I pity them.. because.. you know.. its not very bright and if they are imbeciles I shouldn't make fun of them... but if they are some sort of wierd occult that had to have their brains removed and in its place goes a picture of Bledsoe in his boxers... well... well... that is just sick...maybe it was aliens (legal or illegal doesn't matter)

What do you think it could be and does it deserve pity or ridicule?

thanks for your help
