A better shot at what exactly?

this team was the 06 Raiders before him

gbrittain;1078448 said:And that very well may be. Instead, we will go into next year with an unproven Romo or a proven loser in Bledsoe.
If you read what I have said it is quite clear. Romo may be horrible, but it is time to find out.
What if he is not and we find out next year that we flushed this year on Bledsoe for no good reason?
Again, I have no confidence in Romo whatsoever. That is not the point though. I do not allege that Romo is better than Bledsoe. I do allege we are not going anywhere with Bledsoe.
We signed Romo to a two year extension. Lets find out sooner than later if Romo is the answer...because Bledsoe has proven he is not the answer.
Truth of the matter is that we don't know if we can win a superbowl with Romo. I would rather give him a shot at starter than go into next year without a proven quarterback.

I actually think we can still hit the wildcard this year w/ Bledsoe playing all 16. But I really cant see us going into Chicago, Philly, Seattle, Carolina ect. and winning with Bledsoe. Romo? Maybe, but its not a forgone conclussion

we don't know if romo can do it or not.
we do know drew can't.
i'll take my chances on the unknown than to keep doing the same thing w/drew and expecting anything different than he's ever done.
i said this when drew got here - look at his past and you can see what you're ilkely to get. above average qb at times, rattle him and he's one of the worst. philly just rattled him pretty bad and you saw it in his performance. once he's shaken, he's over for at least that game. for such a vet he's got a fashion model ego it seems.
summerisfunner;1078411 said:idk, but we could go farther w/ him than a greenhorn
BoysfaninVegas;1078550 said:That's not the point. The point is that this team needs to find an answer for the QB situation while guys like Glenn and T.O. can still play at a high level. Romo might not be the answer but that's what we need to find out and quickly. WR tandems of Glenn and T.O.s calibur don't come around all that often and they wont be around too much longer. The sooner we get a QB that doesn't choke when the game is on the line, that's when we will go "farther."
DIAF;1076870 said:Benching your QB to spark the team, sure, im all for that. Releasing your QB means you are replacing him with someone better. Im not sure Romo and his ZERO PASSES IN THE NFL are the way to go at this point. Get him some PT in some games, fine, and then if you think after the season that he's got enough to start, get rid of Bledsoe then. You do it now and the season's over. Instead of us just not making the playoffs, we wont win another game.
utrunner07;1076963 said:The only way I see Bledsoe bouncing back permantly (not just one game against the Houstans (don't call them the Texans, they are not worthy)), is if he does someting to show his team mates that he is serious about winning and he is extremely disapointed in himself.
