I remember Bledsoe pouting on the sideline when he got benched.
Yeah who cares? So Tom Brady asked him some questions? Seems to me Brady did everything "opposite" that Bledsoe would do. If anything Romo should of asked for that reason.. LOL! Bledsoe sucked...

Hey Drew. "what would you do here?"
"Thanks, cool I'll do the opposite and easily be a better QB". - Tom Brady.

That Bledsoe would say this so many years after the fact is just sour grapes. Yeah, Romo had a big head early on. But to whine about it nearly 20 years after the fact? hahahahaha Reminds me of some posters on here. Crying out "But but but ROMO!" any time anyone has any criticism of Dak.

OT but does anyone think Bledsoe and Staffords careers are good comparisons of each other? Neither are likely HOFers, but you are pretty happy to have either in their prime

Definitely wouldnt say "Bledsoe sucked" If he didn't get get hurt in '03 they probably still win the SB and he might have made it into the HOF

Not saying it's not true, it's pretty on track for what I think Romo was like...but does anyone think that Bledsoe wasn't the same type of egomaniac? Sucks how his career ended up but dude...let it go.

Nah, Bledsoe was a lot of hype but was never really that good. Stafford is much better.

Hey Drew, jealous much?
Romo wished he was as accomplished as Bledsoe was as an NFL QB.

And Bledsoe seems spot on with Romo. He didn't take it seriously and did nothing to try and get better and was absolutely not a leader. Romo was in Mexico withy no worries in the world during our playoff run in 2007. He liked being a celeb much more than actually playing football.

I don’t even think it’s that big of a deal. He was young.

I try to picture what if I was a guy that everyone doubted find myself 4th on the depth chart to staring for the Dallas Cowboys as a 25 or 26 year old. Romo is a different guy now but I certainly can believe it.
Lol, you don’t mean there was a 20-something who thought he had all the answers! Surely not!
Hey, there’s a ton of those on this Board .. and, if you have a differing opinion .. they’ll just insult you

Hahaha yeah he was the Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLoosh of the NFL. That's about it.

Romo admitted he had that "jerk store" energy when he gave up the job to Dak. "I went to a dark place...", he said.

Romo always gave me the impression his "aww shucks" energy was all schtick.

Bledsoe, jealous of Romo?

Dude actually won some games in the playoffs. Romo never even came remotely close to taking snaps in a Super Bowl. If you want to say Bledsoe is jealous because Romo married Miss Iowa, I'll hear you out.

I don't think the statements are far off. He was always arrogant and aloof at the same time.
Makes sense why Romo would go and find a place to sulk when he made another Ohno turnover...rattled his god-like complex.

It's probably not a big deal, HOWEVER in a game of inches you want every advantage. We lost by pinky toes with Romo, far too many times for my heart to ever heal. I can't help but wish he'd have kept true to his rookie self and continued to search for answers rather than think he knew it already.

That said coming from nowhere and being doubted the whole time can contribute to a massive chip on one's shoulder. I also can't speak towards how hard he worked.

Romo was an awful leader. He was a selfish individual who didn't care about winning football games.
