Bledsoe has taken 100 more Attempts than Pro-Bowl Vick, and of those has 84 Completions (84 Comp. %) for 1000 yards (10 YPA), 8 TDs 2 INTs (133 Rating). Both QBs have 8-6 records. Why Vick? Not to sound racist, but is it because he's black?

To deny that is part of the reasoning behind him being in the pro bowl is just being blind. Of course that is part of the reason.

They want to see him run around like a darn fool rather to see someone drop back deliver the ball to the recievers.

No, it's not because he's Black; it's because of his celebrity status. Fan votes account for 1/3 of the pro bowl selection. Vick is an automatic selection among Atlanta fans -- his is the first name to come to anyone's mind when the words "Atlanta Falcons" are uttered -- whereas our selection among Dallas players isn't as unified.

Bledsoe doesn't deserve the probowl neither does Vick! They can have the probowls, I just want superbowls.

It's not cause he's black, thats just an ignorant statement.

It's because he's one of the most exciting players in the league. Stats don't necessarily get you a pro bowl spot.

Really, who'd want to watch Drew Bledsoe in a pro bowl game? Not the most exciting player around.

i don't think it has anything to do with race. you think only black fans vote? come on, it's about hype. the media loves the way he runs around and while it is exciting he is far form being a decent nfl qb let alone a pro bowler

:hammer:

people need to realize the main color that people see is GREEN! ($$$$ money, cash, dollars, dinero for all of you who rode the short bus)
A**es in seats and licensed merchandise sales are IT!

Related notes, I was so mad when Jesse Jackson got worked up after Rhodes got fired in GB claiming race had something to do with it. The only people that make race an issue are the mediots.

the only guy deserving to go to the pro bowl as a QB in the NFC is hasselbeck IMO...but since two other have to go i think it should be bledsoe and brunell

Statwise Bledsoe is clearly top 3 in the NFC. He's in the top 5 in Yards, TDs and Rating and has been all season long, holding the #1 spot in Rating for 12 weeks straight.

Vick's rating is a deplorable 71. That's worse that 2003 Buffalo Bledsoe when he had 11 TDs 12 INTs. (73 rating). Even Eli is higher than Vick. Brunell and Eli were better choices. Vick has had much better years. Under 75 is just not Pro-Bowl, and just not exciting. I'd rather see a flea-flicker.

I would like to see Bledsoe in the Pro Bowl, if not to see what he looks like under an all pro-line (excluding LA) Then we will know for sure who Bledsoe is, or posing as.

Vick is one of the most over-rated QB's that there is.

He's not a QB....he is a running back that occasionally throws a poor pass.

He would make a dangerous slot receiver though/return specialist.

Well if Blesdoe didnt make the probowl then sure in hell one would think or assume Vick wasnt going to make it......

Either way that running injury prone Qb got in....Dont ask me how because I sure in hell know it wasnt his amazing good play.

I don't know why anyone is so shocked. Several of us told you why Vick would make it and why Bledsoe wouldn't.

I wasn't joking.

I can predict 2 of next year's 3 QBs barring injury right now. It isn't about merit. It never has been.

Let me guess, Eli/Vick?

Man, there are some people on this board that would do just about anything to SHOW-OFF their man-love for a particular player, IE Carter, Hutch, Henson, RoyW etc etc

I must say, saying Vick is going to the Pro Bowl over your Sweetheart Drew Bledsoe because he is black definately takes the cake.

Everybody here knows the Pro Bowl is nothing but a popularity contest and that explains why Vick is in...period end of subject.

WhereTF do you live anyway...so I can avoid that part of the Country, or are you from Dallas like me?

- Mike G.

Give me a break. I can't even make an observation? If he had a pink hat on I might say it was because he had a pink hat on.

No, it's not because he's "black".

It's because there are tons of fans whose appreciation of football was born of playstation fantasies.

There are also many players who seem equally in awe of his athletic ability...and frankly, I suspect the vote amongst the players is almost as 'popularity' based as it is for fans.

I don't vote for just this reason....the PB is about past glory, player popularity, or public perception.
