Vick is still arguable one of the most exciting players to play the game...There's very little doubt if you had the choice of a young Vick or the Veteran Bledsoe on your team.. Vick would win hands down...
Bledsoe has demonstrated he still can do it and at Probowl levels, But the PROBOWL is about the Image the NFL wants to present.....Its not the best of the best....Bledsoe has had a very good year..... and will only get better next year. Eli Manning(alternate) thats really shows the Probowl is about maintaining a Image

History shows that Bledsoe gets worse the longer he plays for a team. Look it up for yourself.

Elway, Young and Cunningham was well ahead of Vick as pure passers by this stage in their careers. Vick has had a horrific year and luckily has a team that can run the ball and play decent enough defense to counteract his weekly errors.

That's true, but they didn't come out after 1 1/2 years of college football either. They also played for well established head coaches and had solid supporting casts of veterans around them too.

Look up what? The stats that you don't provide because they don't exist? Drew's best 12 game stretch with Buffalo was his last at 9-3. His first 12 games with Buffalo were 6-6. The middle were 8-15. Drew was 2-2 in his first (4 game) quarter in Dallas, 2-2 in his 3rd (4-game) quarter.

Drew is 28-19 in December in his career, his best by far.

Vick's career passer rating is 75. He would average 14 TDs and 11 INTs in a 16 game season, but he's yet to play a full season, missing on average 4 games per season. He has never rushed for 1000 yards in a season. What's so great? The most exciting player ever to play??????? He's clearly not as good a passer as Drew, and not that good a running back either.

Vick has 19 rushing TDs over his last 5 full seasons - Drew has 8 rushing TDs over that span (didn't play in 2001 so I used 2000).

Since 2001: Drew has averaged 21.5 TDs per 16 games (rushing + passing).

Since 2001: Vick has averaged 19.4 TDs per 16 games (rushing + passing).

And that's comparing Vick's prime years to Drew's declining years.

He came into the league in 2001. That is not his prime years. Those are part of his learning years. This season is the start of his prime years. So far, it isn't a great start.

He is not a running back. He is a QB. There is no way he should rush for a 1000 yards because he shouldn't have that many attempts. It was amazing he got 900 yards last year while averaging 7.5 yards a carry.

A QB is a QB. You may be a runner or a scrambler or a statue, but if you're a QB then you are. You may not be a good one like Vick for instance, but he is a QB.

I would like to see Bledsoe in the Pro Bowl, if not to see what he looks like under an all pro-line (excluding LA) Then we will know for sure who Bledsoe is, or posing as.

Yes, playing an exhibition game in Hawaii in February with restrictive pass rushing rules and players that don't give a darn is a very good guage of a player's ability.

Possible explanation...Roger was almost always AHEAD in his games???

I mean, going out on a limb here.

I do believe Blesoe belongs in the pro bowl this year, certainly ahead of Vick and also ahead of Manning. He's pretty even with Delhomme, but could certainly be put ahead of him as well.

Drew had a pretty rough outing last time out or I think more people would be talking about this.

Cowboys feeling snubbed

posted: Wednesday, December 21, 2005

The team feeling the most left out from the Pro Bowl was the Cowboys. They had seven legitimate candidates -- safety Roy Williams, nose tackle La'Roi Glover, guards Larry Allen and Marco Rivera, quarterback Drew Bledsoe, tight end Jason Witten and linebacker Demarcus Ware. Only two made it -- Allen and Williams. The Cowboys seem particularly upset that Bledsoe was beaten out by Michael Vick and Jake Delhomme. It should make for an interesting meeting this week when the Cowboys play the Panthers. Delhomme may have to prove his Pro Bowl selection.
