Believe me, I completely understand this argument, and wouldn't at all be upset if they went in this direction. No matter which decision they make, I'm still completely amazed that we now have the luxury of a very talented back up QB waiting in the wings should the other one falter.

Something in me, though, wants to see Romo operating with a stud RB, and an above-average defense with most of the roster healthy. We caught a glimpse of it in 2014. I'd love to see a more fitting ending to the Romo story. Maybe I'm getting nostalgic in my old age.

I understand where you are coming form but we already saw it 2 seasons ago and Romo had a great year. But he is now older, weaker, can't scramble, etc. Romo has had his chances being here a decade and only winning 2 playoff games. I put winning games over everything and Dak is leading this team to wins and not turning the ball over much at all. He might have less turnovers than any other QB in the league right now.

At the end of the day, you do make a good point in that we are in a great situation at QB.

Guess you forgot about the last time Romo was down 21-0. He won. Rams 2014?
:lmao2:
awesome.
Those buffoons crap their pants every chance they get, just to bring Romo into a conversation. Any chance they get to diss the guy, they take it.
Like little children crapping their britches to get attention.

I respectfully disagree with the bold (in as much as Romo was ever a scrambler).

Just because someone is a QB doesn't mean they're doing the leading. I think Dak is more along for the ride than anything right now.

They don't play in Lambeau every season. Romo's only played there a few times in his entire career.

Welcome to NFL fandom, and good luck!
I didn'the realize he was talking about Lambeau. I thought it was in general.

People are buying too much into the media hype that doesn't actually care if the Cowboys win ultimately. They just want something to talk about, and this rookie is it at the moment.

He had a terrible game that the defense and running game helped keep us above water. A better game by the Packers and we lose this badly. People hand the W to Dak, but it was the defense that won this game and Elliott running for over 150 yards... Dak put himself back together in the second half, but if we were down 14 or 21 points because of his mistakes... I don't see him climbing back up. The run would have been abandoned and without Dez Bryant, a one-dimensional passing game funneling through Beasley would have been shut down quickly.
Repeat after me, "Romo isn't going to win a Super Bowl" he's done nothing in 10 years, been in the league 13 years, he's washed up bro. The sooner you accept it, the happier your life will be.

If this is gonna be the worst of Daks "growing pain", then I'll take it all day.

It's the height of stupidity and disrespect to think Romo wouldn't be successful with this current team.
Successful & continued winning aren't the same....Romo could come in & light it up or stink to his 2015 start

Dak has us winning...replacing that is the STUPIDITY part IMO

Every Romo lover points to 2014. That's sad. You're in the league for 13 years and your lovers use 2014 as the measuring stick. Well let's see here. In 2014, you go in to Lambeau field in a playoff. Before the half you were in position to put distance between yourself and Green Bay. This is where you need to be smart and keep your focus. But the same Romo we'd seen for years reared it's ugly head.

He bobbles a snap, then just flings it up for grabs. Incomplete, we miss the field goal, we end up with zero points there. Down by 6 points in the 4th with around 5 minutes left. 4th and 2. I don't know how you don't try to hit coming across the field on a slant for the first down. What was he thinking? This is the difference between a Super Bowl winning QB and just a good QB. IMO, Dak would have hit Beasley across the middle for the first. It's things like these that are the reasons Romo can't win a Super Bowl. His mind scrambles during these moments. You take away the big moment, Romo is your QBing dream.

For me, it's not a question of when Romo is healthy, it's who's the better guy for the job. I think that guy is Dak Prescott. I didn't think that at first, but after watching him keep his composure, and just being smart let's me know that if they are in the playoffs, his smarts won't lose us the game.

lol at Dak just being along for the ride. That is crazy man. Dak is a baller.. if you don't see that, I don't know what to tell you. We are set at QB for a VERY long time.

He's been solid, but unspectacular. He's got potential, and apparently a pretty high floor, but it's his ceiling that will determine if we are set or not.

It's the OL and Zeke that are leading this offense's success, however.

PPPPPPPPLLLLLLEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEEEEE....it's those plus DAK plus D

To think otherwise.....

The D? They're leading the offense's success? Interesting.

Dak is definitely part of the offense, but there is zero question that the driving force is the OL, Zeke and the running game. To suggest otherwise...
