Also, any RB that can’t pickup blitzers isn’t gonna see the field muchIt is really up to Blue to become a professional on and off the field. His skillset is a perfect complement to Williams power running game. He also has the ability to be dangerous as a pass catcher in space. He could take that next step or be off the roster shortly, really up to him.
As long as it stays concerns and doesn’t turn into real issues. We can live with any off field concerns as long as the talent on the field is worthy. Up to the players.
“Honestly, it was about my early years at college at USC and Ole Miss, my immaturity stuff,” he said. “As you grow older, you get more mature. Just being around the right people, Sawyer Robertson and the other people at Baylor, really helped mold me into the person I am today.”
“Last year, me and Sawyer started doing bible study during the season. That led to us being closer, just understanding how he thinks and him understanding how I think. I would say that I’m more quiet, more reserved. But being in those small groups, it’s only about three people so you have to say something.”
God help him if he has a podcast, an eyewear business or gives the defense a nicknameWe can live with any off field concerns as long as the talent on the field is worthy. Up to the players.
In these parts its the kiss of deathGod help him if he has a podcast, an eyewear business or gives the defense a nickname
That's not what I really said there are a lot of teams that run that same play in the same manner i'm just saying in this particular situation just like when you at the beginning use des and CD and other guys in special teams and returning punts and kicks you stop doing that eventually And while I understand why they were doing it with Turpin and Lamb we now have other players on this team that can fill those roles and they should that's the only reason I'm saying it but you if you think Brian Schottenheimer is the only one that has that in their offense you have not been watching the NFL...Total agree, stupid trying to finesse a run play and injure your wr1.
Well I don't really know a lot about him I don't watch that much college ball anymore especially Baylor wherever he came from But what I understand he has top five talent they just need to get it out of him much like Blue last year who had some problems adapting to making it on time to meetings when they ask you to draw out plays do you understand the play running it correctly at full speed and practice you know doing whatever they're asking you as a Pro is a lot different in college and if you already were having immaturity problems thinking your BMOC but when you arrive with the Dallas Cowboys you're starting from scratch and until you come to an understanding with yourself that you are just an amoeba that better do everything you can to make this roster and get the coaches attention Well you're probably not going to make it..Wow, this gives me some hope. If he’s truly matured, or at least keeps working in it, we may have something special.
But the concerns cannot continue and become a reality because I think Blue figured that out last year this isn't Texas It's not the Longhorns it's not college you're not getting away with the stuff you got in high school in college you're starting from scratch you're starting at low end of the totem pole and you're going to work your **** off to get on the field The people above you already paid that dude just like Rico and Davis they're finally getting their come ups..We can live with any off field concerns as long as the talent on the field is worthy. Up to the players.
Its funny people often say he's not a homerun threat (and i'm not disagreeing with you), but I did a post a while back where his long run rate last year was like similar or maybe slightly better than peak year Zeke.Williams is a bruiser but he runs with authority and upright power where many power running backs lean too far forward and lose their center of gravity.
While he may not be a homerun threat burst wise, he's still quite capable of solid speed while fending off tackles.
That said, it was noticeable last year when Malik Davis entered the game as the speed shifted up a couple of levels immediately.
While I am not saying Malik Davis is ever going to be a star runningback, he did show last year he can be a homerun threat.
I want to see Blue succeed, but so far he has not lived up to the fan hype I have been hearing about since he was drafted.
I hope that changes this year, but until it happens, I think the Cowboys need to be looking for an upgrade either internally or externally.
Spann Ford Ferguson Trigg ….I like the sound of this .
I think Williams is a better runner than Zeke was because as I have mentioned many times over the last few years, Zeke had a bad habit of leaning forward too early and too much so that he could get that extra 1-3 yards after contact. Williams runs more upright and with a much better center of gravity than Zeke had which keeps the play alive longer. Its funny people often say he's not a homerun threat (and i'm not disagreeing with you), but I did a post a while back where his long run rate last year was like similar or maybe slightly better than peak year Zeke.
To me it says more about Zeke and him being overrated behind an actualy generational (overused term) line by the fanbase than Williams, so your point there may still be valid...just interesting how we can overvalue our own guys in some instances.
Sounds like an epic law firm.
Trigg needs to work on his hands. He had a lot of drops but he has a huge catch radius, blie mostly needs to grow up. This is a huge camp for blueThe big play potential is there for both, each have their own hurdles to clear but the talents there. I'm ready for the new Triggonometry, any angle you use to get open is the right angle![]()
This isn't the first time I've seen this comment. But I still have no idea why anyone would think this. He's 6-4 240 that is legitimate TE size. He even commented that LBs cannot cover him.Unless they turn Michael into a full time wideout, I don’t see it happening with him.
