Although they've only scored over 30 once against the Lions. 38-35 Lions; 24-7 Vikings; 24-8 Commanders; 29-21 Jaguars & 20-17 against the Cardinals.
I think our D can limit their scoring, but we have to be able to do more than just score feild goals. Our offense needs to kick it up a notch or 2 moving on from here.
The interesting thing though is that the offense HAS scored touchdowns consistently when it needed to during this streak.
When the Giants took the lead, Dallas came back with 17 unanswered. When Cincy scored late to take the lead, Dallas came back with a touchdown. Same with Washington.
However, with a lead, the Cowboys offense just kind of treads water, and they need to become more assertive than that now that the offensive line is settling in. Yesterday, Dallas just nursed the lead while the Rams offense sputtered against our defense.
It's an unusual and unlikely approach for Dallas. Similar to what the McMahon Bears, Dilfer Ravens, Johnson Bucs, and early Wilson Seahawks often did.
Simply put, we don't have a quarterback on this team who can run a dynamic passing offense against top teams. This method is our only chance.
