Bobby Belt: 10 coaches Cowboys will likely consider if MM doesn't return

Disagree. I'd sign up for Saleh today.

Defensive coach who had the Jets defense BALLING his entire time there as the head coach.

Kept the team respectable despite total garbage at QB.

Jets defense went straight into the gutter ever since he was fired this year - they were top 2 this year before he was fired.

Jets started 2-3, fired Saleh, then went 2-10 the rest of the way - midseason coach firing that totally backfired.

***Added bonus: 1st minority head coach in team history - doesn't matter to me as a fan, but maybe it does to our players who are mostly minorities?***
Ok. Well agree to disagree. I think he's a coordinator unless you give him a top flight OC to mask his deficiencies Ala Dan Quinn/Kyle Shanhan

I should have stopped reading this thread before now

Vrabel and meh. And Vrabel himself isn't that great.

1. Jon Gruden
2. Vance Joseph
3. Kellen Moore
4. Matt Nagy
5.Doug Pederson
6. Frank Reich
7. Robert Saleh
8. Mike Vrabel
9. Jason Witten
10. Mike Zimmer

Choices considered by the DallasEast/Jerry Jones Brain Machine! (patent pending)

"Nope!"

"Uh uh."

"Well, Kellen did train under my Tom Landry."

"Matty's my type."

"There is another ex-Super Bowl winning head coach available? Right now? ~writes name down~

"No."

"Suuieepig no."

"Hell to the no."

~starts humming to himself~ "You got to know when to hold 'em. Know when to fold 'em..."

"Can I be 100% sure Mikey doesn't have a smidgen of Jimmy still in him..?"
Gruden is cancelled forever, are people forgetting what happened? It was in emails not hearsay. Imagine him the DC coach? All his comments will be all over sports tv for years.

10 head coaches Cowboys will likely consider if Mike McCarthy doesn't return

it will be a coach, around 5-7M per year. looking for another opportunity to get back in the game and dallas has the name. any little level of success in dallas goes a long way to your reputation because of having to work with Jerry. his reputation precedes him in the NFL.

wouldn't surprise me to see Pederson, Moore.

I don't think it will be Witten or Zimmer. I don't think Zimmer wants the job. Witten is not ready, but he might be on the staff. perhaps Jerry will do the jerry thing and hire a few coaches before he hires the head coach.

Quite the inspiring list right there.

LOL.

Vrabel might be the only one that wouldn't depress me. Although I am generally curious to see what Moore could do as a HC.

Nagy? LOL. Geezus.
I think he's from Andy Reid's tree

I'm hearing the Bengals would love to have Zimm back for a 2nd time as DC. I think he's trying to decide if he wants to retire......

I think Vrabel is targeting the Pats or Jag job.........Jags would allow him to bring in his own GM.
For sure. I don't think he is seriously considering Dallas

And for the Pats, Mayo was the guy after Bill B, so there's less pressure IMO on the next coach. Didn't have to replace a "GOAT" HC.

Shanahan's an elite HC. You serious?

He was 1 stop away from beating Mahomes in the Super Bowl with Mr. Irrelevant at QB.

He was 1 stop away from beating Mahomes in the Super Bowl with Garoppolo at QB.
