This is exactly what we need to do. Don't ruin a good thing just because of a fluke.

Patience and continuity. Maybe another rendition of Jerry's man in the mirror speech too and we're loaded for bear for next year.
I think he uses the "screaming in my pillow" speech on even numbered years. Man in the mirror is odd years.

That's the smart thing to do for now. Keep everyone together for one more run and make better adjustments.
I am pretty sure we can find tons of similar comments after each of the last 5-6-7 years.

We are throwing away another season in 2024 running this back. You are hoping McCarthy gets smarter, you are hoping Dak somehow overcomes his issues in big games, you are hoping the likely new DC is much better than Quinn. How likely is that to happen?

What you'll get is the same crap we've always gotten. Nickle and dime in FA, have a flawed team, McCarthy will make some boneheaded decisions along the way, Dak will have his inevitable big game failures at various points during the season, we'll likely lose early in the playoffs again.

I just dont see how he comes back with a smaller cap hit without extending beyond next year. You can do that and have an expensive back up or just blow it all up. we should know soon but if bobby belt is right and i like the guy but hes like broaduss.Hes hit amd mis it sounds like they are getting the gang back together
If they are bringing everyone back then you have to extend him. You can’t build a team with him taking 59 million of the cap…..

You are part of the problem.

Adjustments? Lets just touch on that.

They didnt learn from last season. At all. Same crappy run defense scheme. Same stale playoff offensive play calling. What I am trying to say is. What in the last 3 years in the PLAYOFFS have you seen that makes you think this arrogant coaching staff will change?

Lets dive deeper.

Players partying the night before a game they havent won yet. No adjustments needed there. Just smarter players being drafted instead of knuckleheads like Sam Williams. One player can poison a locker room.

This team isnt capable of making adjustments. And it is far from a player away.

Stop with this nonsense already.

Cowboys insider Bobby Belt says the FO is leaning towards bringing the gang back together for one more run.

I find it interesting that these three hosts interview McCarthy every week on the Coach's Show and have become very friendly with him. Yet, they are even calling for his head and visibly disgusted in this segment.

They probably don't want to change the offense.

I'm ok with MM, If I know BB is not an option, do you really trust JJ? would you feel better if he fired MM and brought back KM or hand the keys to Quinn? sadly I think they will extend Dak, and it's 50-50 on Quinn unless he gets a HC gig.

If this was the case. Why even say what he said about judging McCarthy on a per game basis prior to the wildcard game? Just give him a vote of confidence and be done with it. Instead of creating the distraction in the first place.

Check out this at 6:07..she asks about the time that Garrett had...he says looking back they didn't get to a Super Bowl so it didn't work so they look at it from that perspective. I paraphrased "wrong" but I think didn't work is an acknowledgment.

Thanks for posting. Jones cracks me up: "...whatever I was doing back in those years didn't work, so we will look at it from that perspective."

What? The perspective of keeping a head coach, who you hired initially armed with a rudimentary coaching resume for an offensive coordinator position, for a DECADE? That perspective? Is hiring and firing head coaches calculus or something?

Come and listen to a story about a man named Jerrell
Poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed
Then one day he was shooting for some food,

And up through the ground come a bubbling crude…

Great. So much for the 2024 season. Now run out and buy all that gear

This is one thing that doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

IF they really believe Dak is their guy.(I don’t anymore) Shouldn’t they be in aggressive win now mode? Not this…… oh we have to be conservative in free agency and roster construction because we are worried about the cap 3 years from now?

It doesn’t make any sense to me.
Kyle Shanahan says he started focusing on Packers in the 2nd quarter win at Cowboys.Lol, nothing wrong here. Rinse and repeat.
if they can shore up the issues on D through FA and draft its possible. alot rides on what they decide with Dak
