Kevin is correct. The media is compliant. They are telling you he's coming back.

We are about to embark on a well established path where Jerry praises his HC, his QB, fans get all weak kneed again thinking this is the year Jerry will make that splash knowing it's the last run for his HC and maybe his QB.

And then FA starts, we sit on our *****, then start nickle and diming players and sign a bunch of JAGs in FA. The draft comes, they take some project/risk in the 2nd round but people praise Jerry's greatness in the draft.

Camp starts, a few UDFAs and JAGs flash in practice, the homers go nuts thinking we got some steals and start talking about the strength of our roster. Season starts, we beat the dregs, get exposed by a few of the good teams on our schedule, but that does not deter this fanbase who predicts that after an 11-6 or 12-5 record, this is the best team Jerry has had in some time and this is the year we make our run. We lose in the WC or divisional round, possibly in embarrassing fashion, and half the fanbase can't wait to run it back.

Wash, rinse and repeat.

I don't care if MM is back. He needs to get a guy from Shanahan tree on this staff for the run game and we have to spend on dawg free agents and they HAVE TO BE top level players. No more Jayron Kearses (dawg mentality with average skill).

I can see MM returning due to Jerry’s resistance to bringing in an energetic coach with fresh ideas. Jerry wants a coach who won’t challenge him and will allow him to meddle and undermine his authority.

Jerry has squandered the careers of several players during his tenure as owner and is living off the accomplishments off the Super Bowl teams of the 90’s, in which he played virtually no part in assembling.

Cowboys insider Bobby Belt says the FO is leaning towards bringing the gang back together for one more run.

I find it interesting that these three hosts interview McCarthy every week on the Coach's Show and have become very friendly with him. Yet, they are even calling for his head and visibly disgusted in this segment.

That's the smart thing to do for now. Keep everyone together for one more run and make better adjustments.

It is going to be mutiny when no one hires DQ and he is back as well. Prepare yourselves…..

Who would have thought in Jerry's old age he would have turned into a conservative, slow to react, risk averse, decision procrastinator?

He used to blow through head coaches and wheel and deal in the draft. Today he does neither.

When he was younger with more time he was impatient. Now that he's older with less time he's become patient.

Nothing about him makes sense.
Because he thinks he's oh so close and might not survive a couple years to rebuild. I guess. I don't know. He's got wet-brain dementia. Who knows what he's thinking.

The only possible way is to lessen Daks cap hit. And as much of a fan of Dak I am I don’t think that’s the right move. Maybe for next season but not after. If they want to bring Dak back he needs to be in his last year.
I just dont see how he comes back with a smaller cap hit without extending beyond next year. You can do that and have an expensive back up or just blow it all up. we should know soon but if bobby belt is right and i like the guy but hes like broaduss.Hes hit amd mis it sounds like they are getting the gang back together

Doesn’t matter who the head coach is until we hire a DC who can figure out how to stop offences like Green Bay, San Francisco and soon a team Ben Johnson is coaching…and Quinn is not the answer…he’s 0-6 vs anyone off the shanahan coaching tree…

and DQ has had from week 5 to figure this out and they got smoked. San Fran might have put 70 up on these guys.

Interesting. He said this in the postgame? I've avoided all the postgame media.
Check out this at 6:07..she asks about the time that Garrett had...he says looking back they didn't get to a Super Bowl so it didn't work so they look at it from that perspective. I paraphrased "wrong" but I think didn't work is an acknowledgment.

It works like a charm against bad teams
sounded good on thanksgiving while beating Washington and eating turkey legs.....embarrassing to hear it down 48-16 at home in the playoffs.....all those all pro players.....
