Bobby Petrino Rumors

Might be interesting.

If someone got out of line, not paying attention or giving him lip he would just have to give them that look and that would settle them down.

I would prefer an established DC and one who has shown they can be good with the 3-4.
A man like that doesn't fail at what he decides to do. Singletary knows football, Singletary can coach football, Singletary can demand a respect on account of his HOF career and the leader of the most heralded defense of the Super Bowl era.

I know at Baylor they are hoping his son is just like him.

Too bad Tenn got on a roll or Fisher might of been a real possibility. He would have be #1 on my wish list.

Petrino is a better coach than both of them

but I havent heard any rumors of any of them...I dont think there are any "rumors" out there

Stoops might be one of the most overrated coaches in college football today...Neuheisel is a has been

David

So what coach do you like for the Cowboys next year?

No Way we go after a college guy with no NFL experience.!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we had a team that was in the rebuilding stages , maybe, but with the team we have now , I can't see turning it over to a Journeyman coach.

Weiss has been mentioned and I guess I could accept him.:D

But Stoops and Petrino, ,Nope, not at this time.

From What I've seen out there, BP is alright with me.

Surrounded by different Coordinators I think would help immensely.

JMO you understand

Parcells is old and nearly burned out. After four years here, it's time for him to move on.

I'd go w/ Fisher 1st, but Petrino would not be bad. Louisville is his first HC job, but he has NFL experience @ the Jaguars. He was OC @ Auburn before the Louisville gig and did a very good job w/ Jason Campbell.

I would be happy with Fisher, Stoops, or Petrino. Each is pretty good w/ a specific area of coaching. I just hope they good bring good asst. coaches w/ them because we need some.
Petrino has been at Louisville since 2002, Campbell is a second year pro. When did he coach Campbell????

I wonder if you could lure Les Miles from LSU to be assistant HC and offensive coordinator and Singletary to handle the full reigns of the defense.

This would be a largely revamped staff, tremendously improved.

I wonder how Mike Singletary would perform as a defensive coordinator, he's off the charts intelligent and the assistant hc at San Francisco who has made an unimpressive group of LBs produce respectable play, he also helped revitalize the Ravens LB corp a couple of years back when it appeared to have lost some of it's luster.

His son has commited to his alma mater Baylor University so he may be interested in returning to Texas to be near family.

I would be intrigued by the possibility, he would bring sweeping changes with him however.

If he's the asst hc we'd have to give up compensation and get permission to talk to him since it would be a lateral move.

Not if his contract is up, I think that it is.

No college head coaches want to come to the NFL as assistants. Name some who did.
Paul Pasqualoni, Dallas linebacker coach and winningest coach in Syracuse history who recruited Donovan McNabb.

I mean active head coaches, not those that had already been FIRED.

Bill Cowher is never coming to Dallas. Forget that fantasy. We'll be lucky to get someone like Petrino. Cowher is overrated anyway.

Fired after a 10-3 season and 14 seasons at the helm because anxious alumni expected more, they promptly went 1-11 without him the following season.

I guess Bellicheck was a worhtless coach since the Browns FIRED him.

Jimmy Johnson was FIRED as well.
