The only people who believe that the Cowboys are truly “America’s Team” and are under the illusion that everybody wants to be a Dallas Cowboy and is willing to take less money because of that fact are the two morons in the FO.
We all know historically Dallas aren’t players in free agency; but the team has lost some starters and depth and display no urgency to replace them…can’t replace everybody via the draft. The FO quibbles over paying a player that can positively impact a team a few million more to secure his services, but is more than likely going to throw $55-60MM at Dak to lead the Cowboys to playoff nirvana with a less talented team.
But when the owner is the GM with various family members in key positions, there is no sense of accountability to perform at a high level or risk unemployment. The deepest cut is while the Cowboys are maintaining their status quo; the division rivals, and the remainder of the NFL for that matter, are making moves to improve their teams.

Quinn’s new GM has went out and got more help in 3 days than Quinn’s old GM did in 3 years.

Funny, but not true, and I am definitely no Jerry Jones defender.

When DQ first came to Dallas, they gave him white glove treatment, on the draft and free agency, and went after anything he wanted.

There were a lot of articles about it as the defense got better his first year and almost went from worst to first.

After the first year, by all means, unleash the hounds. LVE, Mazi, some dumb decisions. I think a lot of fans are going to miss DQ this year. Much better than he gets credit for. All his boys are leaving Dallas. Both McCarthy and Zimm are being put in an unfair situation by Jerry. And with Zimm such a hard ***, I can easily see this whole team imploding midseason.

Has ANYONE questioned the FO about any of this? It's sad, but it's looking like we'll be fighting at the bottom of the division with the Giants. They clearly have no idea what they are doing. This doesn't look like a rebuild because they aren't trading guys away for picks but they refuse to go out and get pieces to make one last hurrah. They are literally fine with shovellng mediocrity into the mouths of Cowboys fans, and if they go out and watch games buy merchandise, they deserve it.
