Where are these holes? RB could use an upgrading. I see upgrading at OL and LB so far. From 12-5 to not making the playoffs seems pretty bold.
Lol really? Tyron Smith was second team all pro last season, and Biadiaz was a serviceable starter. So youre expecting Guyton to outperform Smith and for Beebe to hit the ground running on a position he's never played before?

And I dont see where you see an upgrade at LB either. Clark looks like an another Jaylon Smith, Overshown is coming back from a serious injury that usually takes a year to recover so he might miss the majority of training camp, and we have to hope he gets over the injury mentally, and finally Liufau who many considered a reach for where he was picked.

Our DTs and safeties are also supect, basically the middle of our defense is a huge question mark

We finished 3rd in the division.
Dak is no longer the starting QB by season's end.
MM,Zimmer and Dak,Dlaw,Martin,Zeke are all gone after the season.
The Lions (love the underdog) face the Texans in the SB.

With the dismal offseason we’ve had a bold prediction would be the Cowboys making the playoffs.
I just don't get it. Who did the Cowboys lose that was so important? The only players of significant were part time Tyron (replaced with a 1st round pick) and Arnstrong (replaced by 2nd round pick) and RB (TBD). I see upgrades at CB, LB, C so far.

Yes really not lol at all. Cowboys had Bell at LB last year. Back at S strengthens that position. Additions at LB significantly upgrade that position. See post above for more details. Where are there holes that you speak of that didn't exist last year when the Cowboys went 12-5?

The holes i mentioned were still there last season, but it got worst. What makes Bell strengthen the safety position? He was an udfa two years, the Cowboys always try to fix the safety position with late round picks or udfa and it never works. Smith to Guyton means all pro to rookie, thats a downgrade

Chargers win the AFCW over the Chiefs
SF takes a step back, but makes the playoffs, Rams could win the NFCW, SF loses in the WC round

Detroit wins the NFCN again, as Love has a sophomore slump, as a full time starter
Dallas edges out Philly again for the NFCE, as very possible Philly misses the playoffs and could have a losing season

Dallas and Cincinnati in the SB.

Zeke 1,000 yards, 15 TD's.

Cowboys go 10-7 and sneak in as a wild card.

KC does not threepeat.

Unfortunately, I think it will be SF's year.

They win less than 12 regular season games.
The HC is replaced at season's end.

Everyone has crapped on our offseason from the fans to the media. We lost depth and weren’t active in free agency so our season will hinge on a number of first and second year players. Some see our first round pick as a project who may struggle early. Replacing Armstrong with a second round pick doesn’t guarantee an upgrade especially with our recent history with second round picks. Our RB situation is a huge concern. An RB to be announced doesn’t mean they’ll be any good. We’ll just be getting what’s left out there which isn’t much. We may end up stuck with what we have. With our current roster and the tough schedule we have in 2024, making the playoffs could be a stretch, especially if we suffer a rash of injuries due to the loss of depth.

Free agency (good players gone), Draft is over. So what are some bold predictions that yall will make, not just Cowboys either, but league wide.

Ill start, I think for Dallas we miss the playoffs. Too many holes

I think Detroit misses the playoffs this season mainly because I think Goff will have a poor season.

I think Purdy gets exposed a bit this season, but they'll still make the playoffs.

The Bears make the playoffs

I think Burrow stays healthy and wins MVP. I think the Bengals win it all.
If all this happens, I expect philly to take the NFC crown

I can make these bold predictions every year - in fact I will guarantee them:
  • Upon release of the schedule, many fans will count wins and losses based on last year’s perceptions of teams. Not remembering that ALL NFL games are tough, regardless of opponent. None of us have any idea how the season‘s W’s and L’s will go.
  • Jerry and Stephen will hold their annual “State of the Cowboys” press conference where JJ will once again set the Guinness Book of World records on how many times he says “uh”; SJ will giggle like an 8 year old at his Dad’s lame humor, and Mike McCarthy will say very little while looking uncomfortable. Jerry will string together a collection of words that no one will have a clue what it means.
  • During training camp, we will hear of several players who are “having a great camp”, most of whom will never see a meaningful down in the regular season if they even make the team.
  • Pre-season games will be boring as usual. Vanilla offense and defense and many fans will want to risk season ending injuries to starters in a meaningless game just to “get them some reps” before the season starts. Some fans will be “concerned” about the team or fired up about the team as a result of meaningless ps games.
  • After the first regular season game - win OR lose - many fans will base what happens for the rest of the season on that one game. If we win big, “Super Bowl here we come”, or if we lose, “We clearly are horrible”. Even after 1/17th of the season, lol.
  • During game one in Sept, the Game Day thread will have its first melt down of the year upon the team’s first three and out.

MM fired before bye.
Zimmer interim HC
Lance starter
Dak traded (hopefully)
Playoffs missed
Bilichick becomes HC 12/24
Insert Prime-Time as HC and drafting his son and you got winning bold prediction...maybe or maybe not :flagwave:

Bold Predictions
The entire starting offensive line makes the pro bowl.
Zeke rushes for 1350 yds at a 4.3 clip.
Dak has a 138.3 quarterback rating through the playoffs and helps us get to the super bowl.
Micah Parsons dumps his podcast, abstains from social media and leads the league in sacks.
Diggs and Bland tie for the league leader in interceptions with 10 each.
You Homer lol. Love it.

Unfortunately, I predict 10-7 and one and done in the playoffs. Sorry, I wish I felt differently. It really frustrates me we don't have what I consider a starting RB.

I am excited about the youth movement.

10-7 and a Wildcard win on the road.

Eagles win the NFCE;
Commanders are vastly improved;
Lack of a consistent run game and no legitimate #2 WR hinder the offense;
Dak is unable to step-up his play like Jerry thinks he will;
Run defense suspect until proven otherwise;
Dallas playing a 1st place schedule;
Record 9-8; 4th best team in NFC behind SF, Philly and Detroit

Cowboys go 1-3 vs AFC Norrh.

SF wins a much closer game this time around.

Running game is weak as Dowdle misses a few games.

9-8 record. No clue if that gets them in.
