But I've also long believed you're dancing with the devil when adding Owens to your team and that he has a short shelf life anywhere. I felt this when I was vehemently FOR his signing. Unfortunately, the end finally came this offseason. His personality -- good, bad or indifferent; his fault or the media's -- and image simply wears on a team. I think that's undeniable.
I agree, I also wish it could have lasted longer, as a good QB/WR relationship should. However, Owens could have been a lot, lot worse. He could have done to Romo what he did to McNabb or Garcia.
I feel Romo didn't do enough to pull Owens aside, talk to him like a man and decide they were both in Dallas to try and win championships, EGO's aside. It could have been solved as simply as that.
