No. It was only recently that they even started moving him around in Miami. Before that he was pretty much exclusively the weak side end.

It was another game where the Giants played down to their competition. I really don't think they're much better than the 16 points they put up. We saw regular season Eli back in the saddle last night. If that continues, they'll just be middle of the pack again. When looking at the performance, let's not undersell how awful the Skins were - and still only lost by 9.

I came away from the game feeling very good about those two teams fighting for last place in the East.

It was much more worse then 16-7 because of the skins ineptiude, not the Giants greatness. The Giants made multiple mistakes, and Eli constantly made bad throws, and the worst part was he was at home. The Giants talked noise all season about making a statement and proving they shouldn't be overlooked and came out and, sans the first drive, they looked like a 9-7 team. The only good thing from the Giants was Burress and Jacobs. And that will not get them into the playoffs again

Taylor isn't "Done". He's playing out of position. In his prime he would not have been a very good strong side DE.


Pretty freakin' dumb move by the Skins to trade for him if they had planned all along for him to play on the strong side.

He did make some plays. Two off the top was the screen he sniffed out and the toss to Jacobs that he strung out as the only defender to the right matched up on a tackle, played both sides and still made the tackle on Jacobs when he went outside for a short gain.

He had a rough game, but still made some plays.

His biggest problem is the position that they brought him in to play. He doesn't belong on the strong side, and neither does Carter. And their defense isn't built to run like the Colts, who would probably do pretty well with a Carter/Taylor combination. His play will suffer due to the fact that the Commanders decision makers are incompetent. They panicked, and brought a guy in to replace Daniels who is BETTER than Phillip Daniels, but is fully incapable of REPLACING Phillip Daniels.
