Bottom line is D could not make a stop when it really mattered

Rodgers was throwing ducks all game. The only drive where one could say he was really impressive was the final drive they scored on. Romo was managing plays, was accurate, taking a bunch of illegal hits below the knees, and got robbed on another one of what would have been game-winning drives.

Romo had 4* incompletions the whole game, but let's all be honest he had 3 incompletions. Rodgers had an off game and missed a lot of passes, still had 300 yards and 3 tds. Played great in the 2nd half, especially as you said that last drive and bullet to the TE, but I agree, Romo outplayed him up to the catch. In a parallel universe where the catch is called a catch, it may be Romo with the GW drive or Rodgers may top him with a GW drive himself, but we will never know because just as dez got robbed of that catch, we got robbed of a legitimate ending to that game.

Packers average over 40 points a game at home. This defense played well enough to win this game.

Do people not watch the NFL? Did they not see what Rogers did to the Lions defense 2 weeks ago with the division title on the line, they didn't even sack Rogers. Are the Ravens sitting at home thinking their defense stinks after Brady carved them up?

Leaving out the moronic rule that cost us a sure TD. But we cannot do anything about that stupid rule; we can do something about a D that when the season was on the line it could not get us a stop.

I agree with you entirely here. I said before the playoffs, before we'd even made the playoffs, that my biggest thing was that I believed this defense was at least a year away from being able to allow us to be something special.

This is where it finally bit us in the butt because they just didn't have enough talent, or ability, to get the stops when we really needed them too. I give them my respect cause they played their guts out, they gave the team everything they had in them, they just weren't talented enough and that happens.
