Bowman signs with Oakland

No one knows what he was going to accept to move his 3 kids across the country for half a season.

Everybody been cool with 5 million for 11 games?

Tough to compete when OAK is in about the position DAL is in, and they have the benefit of him not having to move for the balance of the season. I also don't know what OAK had to offer in terms of snaps. That might have been the other big part of the equation.

Hitch has the potential to be a big upgrade for us at MIKE, so I'm not all that worried about the short term. What I don't like is the prospect of going through the rest of the season depending on Lee and Hitchens not missing time. Brining Bowman in on early downs with Hitch going to SAM and then playing in the two backer sets made a lot of sense for us, and gave us the depth to get Jaylon off the field until he's actually ready to play, if he's ever actually ready to play.

Gosh remember the days when we were a winning franchise and everybody wanted to play in Dallas
Either do I it was decades ago:facepalm:

There was never a time when we were going to win in a situation like this one. Sometimes, you're just number two on a guy's list.

Stephen Jones might end up being worse than Jerry. Jerry was wild with the money and that would lead to bad contracts, but at least you could get excited for the season. On the other hand, we have money, but we're doing absolutely nothing with. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't sign Zack Martin next year because the FO is trying to strike a cheap deal

If he was not "interested" he wouldn't have scheduled a visit with Dallas.

The question really is how much we "showed him the love". Does not seem like it. Made his decision rather easy.

And before someone says Dallas was just name dropping there by his agent to inflate his price, take a good look at what he signed for.

$3M. Roughly the cap hit that James Hanna will cost. $400K more than Benson Mayowa.
Actually the question was how much the Raiders showed him love...

I had a gut feeling he wouldn't sign with Dallas. It made no sense that he wasn't flown out here the day after his release, to negotiate, while we were on our bye. Oh well, it could turn out to be $3-4 million well saved, if the players we have, get their act together.

Stephen Jones after hearing Bowman is signing with Oakland.
He gets to keep the piggy bank closed.

If they let him walk and say they're switching Byron Bell to LOG and replacing Martin with Chaz...
I'm blaming you. Irrationally.

When you try you can come up with some good stuff once a year or so

The FO will sign Martin. Ole Jerry is still the boss and owner. He isn't dead yet.

Who is the last good free agent that wasn’t a criminal that chose to sign in Dallas? Used to be a big deal to be a Cowboy.

Keep crying for someone we didn't sign then. Enjoy your pouting.
If that is the proper mental perspective to take, I certainly hope you also suggest nobody pine away for players we failed to draft also.

In other words, like it or leave. The team can do no wrong. And if they do, don't complain about it.
