To do this admits you were wrong. Its great you want to solve the problem, but dont humiliate yourself further. Put the call into CJ, swallow your pride, admit you screwed up, cut Dunbar and add Gus Johnson, and either cur McFadden or find a brusing back and go with Randle, CJ Gus and a big guy.

CJ is so far from a proven commodity at this point that signing him would do nothing in terms of swallowing one's pride.

JG obviously has a pretty good relationship with Jeff Fisher. I think Fisher's overrated but he puts together some tough football teams.

I also think the Rams are going to be semi decent this year. Those are going to be some sweet practices.

Am I the only one who thinks Ray Rice would be a nice fit...what would it hurt to give him a shot.

It really is the perfect answer. Guy has a record of immense production and experience in the league, as well as every reason to perform well and be on his best behavior.

I agree that that is the plan for now. I'm sure they want to see what they have in Randle and McFadden before possibly bringing in a veteran. That'll change if injury issues persist or they don't like what they see (although I admit that I endorse bringing in true competition now).

Don't know if they're right or not, but I'm pretty sure they feel they know what they have in Randle....or at least what can be shown in the short term.
The question for him is something only tie will tell, and that is if he can give you 250+ carries.

Not advocating either one right now all that much, but I think Chris Johnson has even been more production and doesn't have the domestic abuse baggage. Even is most recent year was better than Rice's if we are comparing.

not sure if Ray has still got it. But, I have seen a few interviews he has done. He seems genuine about the mistake he made. And his role now, as a person who talks about domestic violence. And I actually believe him. -- Ray isn't a Wife Beater. He lost his temper. Let his emotions get the better of him. The woman involved saw it that way too, she ended up getting married to him. Those two could turn a bad story into a good one real quick here in Dallas.....and they are sincere about it;

This will come back to bite Jerry and Stephen when the real games start. Tony will see a lot of 3rd and longs until they get a legit 3 down back on this roster.
