Morris seems to be in the best shape of his carrier, I believe he will be pretty effective behind this line, McFadden nice 3rd down back and Smith short yardage.

Zeake is only averaging 4.2 yards a carry this year, but Zeake can do everything better than these 3, but we should still have a effective run game. Teams are running on the Chiefs this year, they are a bad run defense.

Key will be controlling TOP and keeping KC's O off the field. B Jones will also need to have a good game against their TE.

Morris (Age 28 - 6th Season) 1,160 - 5,061 - 4.4
McFadden (Age 30 - 10th Season) 1,301 - 5,423 - 4.2

31 points allowed seems like more of a defensive problem than an offensive one. If the expectation is this team "should" win games while allowing that many points, then prepare to be 8-8 at best. No team wins 35-31 on a consistent basis.

Yeah, guessing final scores of any game is usually little more than a shot in the dark, I'd say. A previous result that I posted earlier was KC by 10, which translated to KC 34, Dallas 24. I based it upon thinking Zeke's absence and our defensive limitations make it so. Ultimately, it's merely an amusing challenge for some of us to pretend knowing what might come to pass. In truth, we all know anything can and does happen. My guess could certainly end up being the same scores with the opposing teams being switched. It's strictly for fun. :)

I've said all along that McFadden would be the primary ball carrier if Zeke is suspended. I also said that I thought it wouldn't happen for a game or two because he needs to knock the rust off. However, if Morris were to come in the first game or two and play extremely well, he'll probably become the primary RB.

Absolutely no hate or disrespect towards you my man but 99% of this board thought the same thing. It doesn't take a wizard to know that Morris would claim the starting role especially since he's been listed as the #2 back on the depth chart. Wizard skills are also not required to know that if Morris struggles, DMac would be waiting to replace him. The moral of the story? A wizard you are not. LOL

I still think McFadden is the better back and will get his chance. Morris is very limited in what he can do, or at least what he has done throughout his career. If he's in on third down, you know he's not going to catch any passes out of the backfield and he's at best an average blocker. McFadden is faster, more versatile, and just a much more talented back. Does he still have those skills? I'm not sure, but the last time he was the primary back for us, he produced big time and he did it without any semblance of a passing game. As far as Morris being listed as the # 2 back, I think the front office has kept McFadden inactive so he would be fresh and healthy if Zeke was suspended. It has now happened and we'll have to wait to see how things are handled. As I've previously posted, I don't think it's a surprise to anyone that Morris would be the lead back in McFadden's first game on the active roster. I think they'll work McFadden in slowly over the next couple of games and go from there, but it's not because Morris is better or more valuable than him. It's simply because McFadden hasn't yet played this season.

That's how I think it ultimately plays out. None of them will end up being the "workhorse" back. It evolves into a committee.
But deep down you know it won't be like that with JG, as his strict adherence to the process dictates a leade back for 70-80 % of the carrieso_O

All McFadden has over Morris is catching the ball. McFadden has been inactive because Morris is the better back.

Morris in the best shape of his career? Hmm. Ok. Pass me whatever you have going over there. B

We finally get to find out if any serviceable running back can have success behind this OL and be a difference maker in a grind it out win.

Anyone care to take wagers?

Loss. 31-17.

Hopefully this game will put all those arguments to bed.

Zeke is the engine that drives this offense. Its why they drafted him at #4. And its why the Cowboys are 4-3 instead of 1-6.

If they win a game without him, it will be because the other team just stinks.

Nein! No way! Nyet! Nerzit! Chale, ese! Fuhhetaboutit!
Cowboys control the ball with Morris and McFadden! (Oops, this just in: Zeke will play Sunday?)
Cowboys 27, Chiefs 24!
