I like Morris as a person...nice guy. However, we aren't going anywhere with him getting a majority of the carries. Split them between Smith and DMac. They're quicker to the hole and more physical IMO.

Yeah, that's why I want to see Smith but I doubt we will...at least not enough to make it matter. Dmac and Morris don't cut it for me. IF we had a better D this wouldn't be that big of a deal. But we don't...so it is.

Starting Morris is a huge mistake IMO, I rather start Smith and of course I prefer Dmac as well. How many times will we have to see Morris snuffed at the los before he is replaced. Stupid move...

I picked up Morris in my FF league and don't have McFadden. I would still rather McFadden start and get all the carries. That's how much better I think McFadden is than Morris.

How many folks noticed that three different RB's had thousand yard seasons these last three seasons?

Murray in 2014

McFadden in 2015

Elliot in 2016



I don't think it would be too late for one of these guys given the attributes of the offensive line. And they are improving.

However, my greatest concern is integrating the RB into the passing game. Here McFadden has a clear advantage.

I hope one of these guys takes advantage of the opportunity.

Hopefully this game will put all those arguments to bed.

Zeke is the engine that drives this offense. Its why they drafted him at #4. And its why the Cowboys are 4-3 instead of 1-6.

If they win a game without him, it will be because the other team just stinks.

In the grand scheme of the Dallas offense during Zeke's 6 weeks of suspension, all three RBs are likely to get their due reps. What ALF can't do well will likely be replaced by DMC and what both of them can't do will be replaced by Rod Smith. Granted, it's far from being an ideal setup but hopefully, it'll be a RB-by-committee setup that's effective. Exactly how effective it might be certainly remains to be seen.

31 points allowed seems like more of a defensive problem than an offensive one. If the expectation is this team "should" win games while allowing that many points, then prepare to be 8-8 at best. No team wins 35-31 on a consistent basis.
