Toss up with Zeke: Chris Carson, James Connor

So thats 20 backs I take over Zeke and two more possible. And there are probably a few more rookies as am not as familiar with I would take as well.

I see what you're saying but this list isn't accurate when talking about being a better OVERALL RB like Zeke, not just better runner or the fastest running back.

How many of those guys are better than Zeke in running the ball, yards after contact, running between the tackles, blocking ability, the awareness in blitz pickup and receiving out of the backfield, and DURABILITY!!! You can't sit here and make me believe there is 20 RBs in the NFL thats better than Zeke in ALL of these categories.

As far as McCaffery and Barkley.... when's the last time any of these guys played a whole season??? The best ability is AVAILABILITY. So scratch them off of the "better than Zeke" list.

Going on 6 tough years as a NFL running back. He can come back slimmer and stronger for ‘22 and still will not come close to 2016 Zeke. I expect another year of decline for him and then he’ll be sent packing. Love Zeke, but this is how most NFL running backs careers go….

Don't know if he will be top 10 when you include ypc, but I do think, barring injur, he'll get 1250

and ? last year on one leg zeke got 1k..only ONE RB got over 1300 yards it was Taylor..2nd place 1200(chubb)..the rest of the SEVEN total backs who got 1k was ZEKE..before the injury Zeke was top 3 NFL back last year.,.yet he still finished 7th bruised back flowed by a torn PCL..i mean..ok whatever more hate threads Zeke and dak our best players top 5 on the team and yet the hate is palpable. Sorry fans really take every [possible shot they can at our own players. I guess they all suk huh all but one all finished with less than that 1250 you posted..reality check

Not once did i say Zeke is the same back that he once was and I do believe we need to give Pollard more touches.... many more touches. With that said, blocking during blitz pickup is very important in today's game.

If its just "apologist" talk, why does Zeke get praise league wide from current AND Hall of Fame athletes who say Zeke is one of the best and most effective in blitz pickup/blocking????

Whatever you apologists may think, running and catching are the two most important skills of a back. Thats why they call them "running" backs.

Blocking backs are called fullbacks.

You think they pay Zeke 18 million for his blocking abilities?
