Bradford to Eagles for Foles

Being reported in Philly that they have the 10th pick - crazy. They will use the 10th pick, Bradford, their 1st next year and maybe a 2nd next year to move up even more.

But if you're a team why not let someone pick Mariotta and then trade for him?

There is no way you make all these moves without someone pretty high up the draft telling you exactly what they want for their pick. I don't think Tennessee is that team. So if I am Tennessee, I am putting it out there to see what I can get from Santa Kelly.

If the Rams gave up Bradford and a 2nd rounder to get Foles then that shows the genius of Jeff Fisher.

If the Eagles gave up Foles and a 2nd rounder to get Bradford then that shows the genius of Chip Kelly.

If that's true that's a GREAT trade for Philly

Maybe its going over my head but it seems like it would be smarter for me to trade with a team who drafted Mariotta rather than trade for the 2nd overall pick. What if Mariotta falls to #6 or even more? Trade value might be a little easier.

The end game for Philly is obviously Mariota. They got the 10th pick and will likely move up even more.

What I am saying is, I believe Chip may have a deal in the works with someone in the top five, but I don't believe it is Tennessee. So, if I am Tennessee, in order to fleece Kelly, I am letting it leak I am taking Mariotta. I have a hard time believing a team will select Mariotta and then immediately trade him, unless it's already been worked out ahead of time.

There has been no confirmation the Eagles have the 10th pick---if they do have the 10th pick then what a horrible deal for the Rams.

Philly is reporting they swapped firsts, other sources saying they're getting a 2nd round pick. I think Breer has the right story here but I'm not sure.
