See, this is what I don't understand. That is a lot of praise coming off a game where Dak passed for only 179 yards / completed only 59% of his throws. It makes Brady look foolish.

I didn't really enjoy his commentary. I think he is too polite and uncritical to be interesting. Hope he picks up his own game b/c he is clearly better at playing football than commentating on it.

I was NOT impressed and I will tell you why. This is classic Dak. He did all the right things, things you EXPECT your star QB to do.

Now give us a 12-point 4th QTR comeback victory in San Fran and I'll be greatly impressed.

I apologize to the dak people...I'm a "do your job" kinda fellow. Go above and beyond if you want the kudos.

That was a very good pass and a great catch.

Well, after nothing much to show for. Only badly underthrown long wobblers and 2 near INTs that would have been his fault.

Cant trust a NFL QB who cant make difficult throws on a constant basis.

Dak deserves credit for playing well against a very legitimate defense in their house and the first game of the season.

Dak also played with a new rookie center that hadn't even played the position was last seen practicing snapping the ball to his mother.

A lot of things could have gone wrong could have had a lot of turnovers if he was not in command of the situation.

That said if you watch the game everybody else did their job and that makes it easier for him to do his job we ran by committee for a hundred yards in the game the defense played well people caught the ball.

And even our stupid coaches time mismanagement didn't hurt us but just give it time it will.

So be happy with a nice road when and a good performance by our team and quarterback there will be plenty of time to criticize when it is warranted.

Dak was adequate. “Impressive” is a bit much for a guy with an 85 rating in that game.

That being said, it was his first game (I hate these guys play zero preseason games).

There's nobody that expects him to be roger.
Even his biggest detractors want the team to support him. They know he's not roger and just play within his abilities...we will win games if he doesn't try to over reach.

I know that might not be the majority but I think there are 3 or 4 posters here who fantasize regularly about getting a Mahomes or Brady and bash Dak for keeping them from obtaining that goal. Maybe it's just Mountaineer tho and Im confusing him for the general fans...lol

Agreed! I like how they maintained their composure, executed the plays. Nothing super hero sexy about it....very blue collar workman like and I like it!

Of course there's a few. Mostly about the money and playoff performance.
Those are legit but no sense in rehashing over and over.
Dak can play well enough to win....obviously. He...and his team do still need to prove that in "the big games".

there are a variety of reason why dak gets hated on I would say the biggest is our failures of 28 years and blaming the QB position instead of the TEAM. part of our fanbase thinks there is a Patrick Mahomes or Brady behind door #2. Without regarding all the help they have received. They believe he is the biggest reason for our fails. (i don't I believe our biggest reason is in the press box). Oh and this reason $$$$$$$$$.

1. his interceptions at crucial times in playoffs, they believe hes a 1 read QB and he will always fail
2. his deer in headlights look in playoffs when the camera shows him after a turnover
3. some are still salty about him displacing romo (not as much this anymore)
4. Some of the more positive posters that continue to post positive things that elevate or excuse Dak riles up the other side. (the truth is somewhere in the middle)

Posters like the one you mentioned above are not the majority but he does his best to get as many other posters to see things like he does. That kind of what trolls do but there are only a handful of those hes just the most vocal. in the end he ends up being wrong more often than not.

Tom Brady gave an on-the-spot analysis of what he saw in one game. He did not say anything wrong in my opinion.

Perhaps it would be wiser for some to wait for a possible future scenario involving Brady doing color commentary for a Cowboys game and Dak Prescott struggling during the game. Then wait-and-see what he says about Prescott's performance for that game at that time. Then observers can compare Brady's Hall of Fame quarterback perspective then versus what he said now.

If you think Dak played a fantastic 2nd half i got a bridge for sale. He was very good in the first half but was subpar 2nd half. Its ok to say the truth. Doesn’t make anyone a Dak hater
