Well luckily, we might have one of those this year. We have a shot! And that’s all we can ask for

Exactly.. If one has been around long enough one knows that it takes a LOT of things to break your way to win it all. But you have to get there just to be in position to take advantage of those breaks when and if they come. This team will get there and as such will have a shot. I know people call it accepting mediocrity .. but in reality.. getting there consistently is all we can ask for. I think this team is built to get into position to win it all year after year for the next half decade or so.. If we don't win one I will be disappointed.. but again.. you gotta have a lot go your way to win.. or you have to be willing to cheat your *** off like another team that shall remain nameless. And frankly I would rather not win if I have to cheat.. But that's just me..

Now he has lost one of them for the rest of the regular season. Could be big considering how Tampa is still fighting for the number one seed.

People here have been claiming that "great QBs find a way" and that sort of thing when piling on Dak for not lighting teams up with his guys out.. Oh and how great did Kyler Murray look without D-Hop? It's amazing how ordinary a QB can look when the receiver group gets depleted. I know the ABD crowd doesn't wanna hear it but Dak and Moore have been working on getting this whole 2 deep shell coverage figured out. It would be a lot easier if they would run the damn ball more but Kellen Moore aint doin that unless Jerry himself is standing on the sidelines screaming at him to run the ball. But I digress.

He didn't lose anyone until the second half, either. He had all of his weapons in the first half and still did nothing.

It's as if QBs don't do anything by themselves. Go figure.

You mean like last season. The Cowboys had the best offense in the NFL until Dak was injured. The Dak hate is strong with this one.

Shhhh... no facts allowed here.. Dak never led the offense without Collins and Smith and with Martin out of position to 34 ppg.. Never happened.. Nope.. never did..

I mean Brady's got 7 rings and some MVPs.
Rodgers has a ring and some MVPs.

Didn't Rodgers just yesterday go into Baltimore missing 4 starting o linemen?

I mean he's down to his 3rd man up at left tackle?

Context anyone?

He was facing a team missing half it's roster including it's dynamic franchise QB.

Maybe.. but how many has he won without a top tier defense?

Go look it up.. I'll wait..
How many times have teams won the SB without a top tier defense?
That's how you win the SB.

Go look it up.. I'll wait...

Nevermind. I'll do it for you. Roughly 45 of the last 55 super bowl winners had a top 10 defense...

people act like the first half f the season never happened, when Dak was torching defenses. They hate is viable and disgusting. Tells me they never were in his camp. Faux fans.BTW..when brady stunk it u, even before the wr's were injured last night, did anyone call him out here?Just curious. Did he forget how to play? I think not. They keep moving the goalposts on Dak and its glaringly biased.

We are in violent agreement.. In fact I would bet a month's salary that more teams have won without top 10 QBs than have won without top 10 defenses. I can name 10 bottom tier QBs who have won Super Bowls off the top of my head.. Hell I can name three teams whose backup took over during the season who would go on the win it all.. The 1987 Commanders, 1990 Giants and 2017 Eagles.. all hoisted the trophy after turning the reigns over to a backup..

So Brady isn't a top 10 QB ? Is that what you're trying to say ? Cause he needed all those BB defenses? IMO you need a good QB and a good defense to win a SB. Yes brady got a lot of help from those BB defenses but he also played great in all those SBs.

Not sure how anyone can argue with Ronnie on this one....A QB needs some help around him. Dak is struggling right now, but in large part that is due to his situation.

The realization however is that this Cowboys offense probably isn't going to ever see more talent than it has right now, which does concern me. Smith/Martin are blue chip players, but aging ones at that. You are going to lose Williams & Gallup most likely this offseason. Tough decisions to make the following year on guys like Coop, Zeke, Pollard, etc. Can either of your starting Ts stay on the field?

Based on current roster construction the truth is most of the Cowboys salary cap may go back into the defense as weird as that sounds. Kinda feels like the Cowboys need to find a way to keep both DLaw and Gregory. You're only a couple years away from paying Diggs. Gallimore if he continues to progress may demand top DT money. Obviously you have time on Parsons, but need to start thinking about having those funds in the future. Especially Dak having a shorter contract compared to other QBs you have to think about resigning him right around that same time.

My concern isnt Dak, I think Dak is a good enough QB to a team into the playoff contention. My bigger concern is at some point he is going to have to do more with less as it feels like this offense is only going to have less and less to work with the next couple years. Dak is going to demand a massive chuck on the cap for the remainder of his career. Not his fault, hes just part of the system the NFL has created, but it is reality.

At this point in the season, most teams are doing all they can to win any way they can to secure a playoff berth. The Cowboys are and have been doing that with a cautionary attempt to keep as many players as possible healthy enough to be successful in the upcoming playoffs. it's difficult.

Without question, that task is much akin to a tightrope act that demands great preparation to complete a 17-game season capably and healthy enough to attempt playoff success. That's no small task, considering the huge demands exacted upon a team attempting to endure all the threats and rigors of such a challenging and physically threatening sport. So far, so good in such a difficult accomplishment. Due credit awaits those responsible.

I'd venture to say congratulations are in order for the successes that these Dallas Cowboys have produced in 2021. They're 10-6 and on the verge of entering the playoffs. Those of us faulting such results, after last year's record might be well-advised to examine the practicality of their demands.

Tom Brady's place in history and his legacy are etched in stone already, whatever he does from here on out simply doesn't matter, Hell, he shouldn't even be playing the cat is 44 years old, so it's incredible just to see him out there at all. If he wins cool, if he loses cool, it just doesn't matter anymore.

Dak really doesn't belong in anything having to do with Tom Brady, there are no similarities of any kind. With Brady it's NFL records, ya talk Hall of Fames, Mount Rushmores, THEGOAT, with Dak it's can he wins A Superbowl ever?

Typical Ronald thread.

Always finds a way to defend Dak.

It's silly you are even mentioning TB12 and Dak in the same post. Dak is making 15 million a year more than Tom. Look at their stats this year.

Wait, I'll come back and bump this thread when Dak is 44. See what his stats are then. Dallas front office is the joke. They keep paying best in the league contracts for mediocre talent.
