Goodell heard the Brady appeal and thus is ready to respond, he did not hear the Hardy appeal.

Or there is a big conspiracy against the Cowboys and Mara is the boogeyman in all our closets at night

No, he was convicted on two counts. He then appealed, and she didn't show up (after he paid her off), and the case was dropped.

The DA does not require the plaintiff to be present to press charges. In fact, in situations like this, the DA will often file charges even though the plaintiff refuses to testify. It may be just as you say but that is not the sole reason.

I have a feeling the Cowboys will get bad news, good news, bad news next week. Bad news in that Brady won't miss any games, good news in that Dez will sign a new contract, and bad news in that Hardy will be suspended for 10 games.

Well if it is dropped then their is no conviction or he would have been sentenced.

Seriously, if they announce Brady's ruling before Hardy's I will be absolutely convinced that the NFL is intentionally delaying their decision to prevent any kind of appeal to the courts by Hardy's team.

Actually as evidenced by his reception at the draft the Commish is the most unpopular figure in the League. The fans pretty much think everything he does is rediculous. The consensus of people I've talked to even here in Skins Country is that he already missed enough games and should be fined the game checks to cover the suspension. I believe that is what the players thought would happen with the exempt list.
Absolutely the commissioner is incredibly unpopular across the league. Fans from sea to shining sea can't stand the guy.

What I am saying is there is simply no serious outrage from other fanbases regarding the league's handling of the Hardy situation. At most they shrug their shoulders, agree Goodell sucks, then get back to discussing their 2nd string tight end or whatever topic happens to be front and center for them.

Carolina let him go despite his insane talent. Almost no teams called him except Dallas. The Cowboys only committed to a one-year deal.

And yet some think he's innocent.

He should only get two games by rule, but I don't pretend for a second that this didn't happen.

He was sentenced. It was appealed and dropped after he paid her off.

I don't recall reading anywhere that is was definitive that he paid her off...I do recall seeing that it was speculated (but unproven) that he paid her off. Do you have a link or information that proves he paid her off or are you reflecting speculation as fact?

Do you have proof she was paid off? If not, that would be slander. Want to continue? Since you want to continue arguing when your wrong

It was overruled, meaning the conviction doesnt stand. Ergo, he wasnt convicted

So why doesn't anybody want him? Why didn't Dallas lock him up for multiple years? Why didn't the league just drop the whole thing?

Excuse me if I don't check my brain at the door. This is plain as day.
