You just made the list!
You just made the list!
I think we could get him for a 4th.
That's not necessarily truesorry but stats are stats, if hes the only target then hes being covered by the best DBs, correct?
right let him rome free if hes the biggest threat LOL just say hey let him pad his stats and gain yards on us.. if he is their biggest and only good target, he was covered by the others team's best player. That's not necessarily true
His new team would be responsible for what hasn't been paid out yet. Unless they negotiated the Texans paying some of it in bonus which is what the Cowboys wanted last year.Surface level I would agree with you, I'd even say that Cooks contract is worse (although I'm not an expert on cap hits when traded). Right now he is scheduled for a $26 & 24M cap hit each of the next two years I'm not sure how much of that hit gets transferred to the Cowboys? All of it?
Anyways the rumor at the deadline is this deal didn't happen because the Cowboys wanted Houston to pay a portion of his salary. If that's the case it changes my opinion on a deal drastically and in my mind is the difference in giving up a 2nd or 3rd round pick vs a 5th or 6th for a WR.
Again, not necessarily true. Have you ever watched an NFL game? Do you think the best CB always travels with the opposing teams best WR? Did you know he ran almost 1/4 of his snaps from the slot in 2021? Think the best CB always travels to the slot?right let him rome free if hes the biggest threat LOL just say hey let him pad his stats and gain yards on us.. if he is their biggest and only good target, he was covered by the others team's best player.
Hes a VERY good WR no matter where hes been or whose been throwing to him...Again, not necessarily true. Have you ever watched an NFL game? Would rather check in with Denver and see if Jeudy is available for a 3rd.I think we could get him for a 4th.

I dont want him or dhop , draft picks and big salary's are not good thing for our team, there are panty of options for FA wr for less money and that all we need..Not a 20mil OBJ either, other wrs, plenty already on the market and more being released. theres also the draft.,

No way I give up a 2nd for Cooks with the money owed - its also the same reason Ramsey only got a 3rd. If we are taking the contract I'm thinking 4th or 5th.My guess is a 2nd. Texans wanted a 1st at the deadline and Cowboys balked
Why do this when Jeudy would costHis new team would be responsible for what hasn't been paid out yet. Unless they negotiated the Texans paying some of it in bonus which is what the Cowboys wanted last year.
2023 $18.5 million
2024 $16.5 million
Exactly. Even the Jones boys aren't giving up a 2nd and also paying a WR of Cooks caliber $16.5M for this year. I'd be surprised if we gave up a 4th even. Heck I wouldn't do it for a 7th myself because I can find better ways to spend that $16.5M against our cap. But if he is cut I'd kick the tiresNo way I give up a 2nd for Cooks with the money owed - its also the same reason Ramsey only got a 3rd. If we are taking the contract I'm thinking 4th or 5th.
Talk Denver into it.Why do this when Jeudy would cost
2023 $2.7 million
2024 5th year option $13 million
Now we’re talking!Hopkins
Lamb
Beckham
Cooks
Gallup
He's a solid receiver to date...I'm totally fine with spending $16M for a WR. Just not on Cooks if I can help it
