Brandon Gorin may be the one

I'm also surprised we are looking at a tackle, instead of a guard, where we have nothing behind our starters.

Could it be someone like Russ Hochstein and guard/center player who has also started some in the past?

OK, I just checked the authority on all these matters:

Madden 07 has Brandon Gorin rated 80 overall and Scott Shanle a 61 overall (and our lowest rated player).. so we are getting a killer deal.. :D

Gorin for Shanle?????

THAT"S ALL?

Surely we can get Dillion, Harrison, Brady, and Branch for an all word lb like Shanle.

With Dan Koppen's health still an issue, they might be reluctant to trade anyone who can play center. But I agree.

We do need guard depth at first glance, but if Gurode doesn't start, he could get more repetitions at guard. It all depends on if Gurode is our starter. If so, we need depth badly in addition to Cory Proctor.

I never said it was true. I said it was more factual than what people (and especially non-journalists) state concerning their belief that Owens doesn't like Bledsoe. Comprehension is your friend. But I forget, you really don't bother to try to read much. You are the person who flys of the handle and responds aggressively to post titles and not the content. Who is the joke again?

Actually on your post yesterday I did not bother to read it all because I did not care what it said as far as specifics allegations on what the so called reporter was saying, my response was TO needs to get back on the field. Most of the commentaries I understand it is a view point not based on direct quotes from players or coaches but the writers view point so I take a lot of that with a grain of salt. I still think you defending TO against everyone is a joke anyone say a negative about TO and here you come to the rescue. Those in the NFL like Jimmy Johnson and Troy Aikman when they express doubts about how this will work out I have bit more respect for their views than yours if that makes me a joke in your eyes I'll accept that

Well then, that's settles it, lets do it.

Let me understand. You felt compelled to reply to something you say you didn't care about the content, but used it as another opportunity to state something negative about Owens and restate your stance which I believe has been made abundantly clear? I see perfectly now.

My feeling about TO have not changed and when the owner is on TV saying TO has to learn to practice even if he is not 100% and yes that is exactly what he said no spin just fact. As I said yesterday, please keep kissing his butt and making excuses for him and blaming everyone for picking on him. Yet is was nice to see you say well the story on Key was true while in the same breath attacking the media over TO, love how you pick and choose when it comes to reporters as long as it fits your view. Your a joke
thats not what he said. he said he needs to learn to practice at a slower pace like dion did.he did'nt say he needs to practice when he's not 100%
no spin just reality

That's the way all trades should be measured......check with Madden 07 :D

If Gorin is the guy we've targeted, it makes me wonder who, or if, we'll still take a look at from the WR position??

Can we just have one %&%*&*@ thread that isn't about TO here?

Really guys (not just you conner01) -- could you take this over to one of the 400 TO threads?

Miami is deep. There are a couple of lower end guys on their roster I'd swap Kenyon Coleman for.

If they want to keep some of their 3-4 looks, they could use some 3-4 ends.

Saying TO needs to get back on the field was a negative? Only negatives came after you went on your protect TO at all cost stance that you are becoming known for. In articles that has good things to say about TO like him meeting teammate at the airport, or him holding the cook out for the players I responded positively towards those acts by TO same with his youth camp. However when I see the Owner and GM standing up saying TO needs to learn how to practice when he is not 100% that after paying him a boat load of cash and a coach who is looking agitated by TO not practicing then yes I will say what is on my mind and I don't care if you defend him or not that is your view point not mine.

It would appear the Pats are not too high on Gorin. Don't forget they were in the running for Fabini before he signed here. If this turns out to be the case it says we're not satisfied with our options at "swing" tackle.

I don't believe that's what JJ was saying at all. He was saying that TO needs to ratchet it down a bit in practice to reduce the chances of getting hurt. I don't think JJ was implying that TO should get back on the field if he wasn't physically ready to do so. Maybe you've never had a hamstring injury but I can tell you it's not that hard to go from "sore" to "pulled". And once it's pulled, it could be months before it's 100%. When you make your living with tenths of a second you err on the side of caution with a bad hammy.

For all we know he is their Rob Petitti or Marc Colombo. I am sure if some team were desperate for help and our fifth round draft choice was outplaying our incumbent and they had a decent player available in an area we were decimated in, we would make that trade. And it wouldn't mean we were "down" on our player, just making use of resources.

That also doesn't mean he's bad, he just might be a better swing player, which honestly is what we are dealing with at the position as well. Putting it mildly, Gorin has never given up double digit sacks in his career, even as a rookie.
