What's their cap situation? They seem to be able to afford a lot and I'm sure Eli is making 20+.

Good signing. ODB and Marshall together. Better than Hollywood Wives!

They are now talking about releasing Dwayne Harris.

Y'all are crazy if you think Brandon Marshall is washed. Guy has plenty of game left and has been on terrible teams the majority of his career. He still had a couple old great games last season on an awful offense where he saw double-coverage all the time. The combination of he & Odell will be potent so long as Eli has time to throw. Big pickup for the GMen and on a friendly deal too. Sucks.

And yes, as it was reported the day he was released, he wanted to stay in NYC because he didn't want to uproot his family.

6m for a WR3 is not team friendly

Not impressed by this signing. Eli has proven he can't win when he has no running game. He's still gonna throw 15-20 picks next season.

Marshall has been hated by teammates in every locker room that he has been in. He has also had two hip surgeries, and is soon to be 33 years old. This signing doesn't overly faze me - he's an upgrade for the Giants, but it wouldn't have taken much to be an upgrade over what Victor Cruz was at this juncture of his career.

It's that much less money for the Giants to resign Johnathan Hankins, who if he leaves them, is a huge loss.

OBJ and BM will take away touches from each other and I can see a blow-up this year. Two divas on the same team spells trouble

I'm not worried about the signing. But it does show that overspending on defense one year doesn't mean you can't ever play in FA again.

They don't have many players on a 2nd contract. That's when they get expensive. OBJ is still on a rookie contract.

Marshall is not a #1 receiver; he is, however, a big target and a possession receiver, a perfect fit alongside Beckham as the big play threat. None of their other receivers could fill the "move the chains" role.

Usually teams don't actually find success in the season to match their FA spending, but the Giants had success with the defensive moves last season, and this is a great move for the offense. Now, if they get Peterson or draft a RB, they will just need to find an OL to help them...because that OL still stinks.

That's cheap for Marshall and a very good signing for the Giants. Marshall may be the #1 receiver in terms of targets there next year. It takes a lot of pressure off of OBJ. He is their big receiver at 6'4. OBJ is 5'11" and Sheppard is 5'10".

Marshall has had 2200 yards and 17 TDs over the past two season including a 1500 yard season (something Dez has yet to do in his career).

Other than one year back in 2011, 5 years ago now, Cruz hasn't been great.

Age is a concern -- no doubt about that.

In terms of production, he ha Bryce Petty, Gino Smith, and Fitzpatrick throwing to him -- it was one of the worst QB situations in the league.
