Even if they can take the physical beating a lot of guys just aren't talented enough to still be productive when the entire defensive game plan is to stop them. When the DC has spent the whole week talking about you.. What plays you like to run .. whether you run better left, right or middle. Whether you can take a hit.. Whether you will block on blitz pickup.. Whether you can catch the ball.. Every nook and cranny of your game gets dissected when you're "the guy." When you're the change of pace back or the backup they don't even know your name and you're an afterthought most weeks. Sorry if people don't like hearing that, but that's the reality. Now Pollard has done enough damage this year that he is probably getting more than the usual 5 minutes of discussion most backups get.. He might get 15-20 minutes..

Yes, there's a lot that goes into it that you really don't know until a back is the man. Some backups have handled the promotion well and some have proved to be poor signings.

Henry got off to a slow start, as he was splitting the load at first, and has been playing catchup. Since Elliott is splitting the load this year, there's a good chance that Henry catches him.
That’s the reason he’s dominating now. He rested the first two years because demarco was there. Zeke was the lead guy their entire career. The fact that he’s still elite says a lot about him. Consider the fact that he had a rookie Dak too in 2016. Zekes hall of fame bound.

Henry will eventually get injured. The more carries a player gets the greater the chance of injury.

It doesn't even necessarily have to be an injury. Eventually the muscles simply stop responding and recovering. No one is immune to it. Henry is bigger and stronger than pretty much any great back we have seen but even he has a shelf life. What's working to his favor now is that his line is tremendous.. They are getting him around 2.5 yards before contact. As long as that continues he will be fine. If that number drops down to 2.0 or less then that will indicate that the line is slipping and Henry is taking more of a beating.

He’s only 26. Henry is 28 I think.

Henry will turn 28 in January.. He's a year and 7 months older than Zeke. One thing that might work against him is all the miles he has on him from high school to college and now the NFL. His teams have run him into the ground at every level. Splitting time with Murray those first two seasons probably extended his career a year or two. Likewise splitting with Pollard is going to extend Zeke's career..

TP not to shabby either.

I remember when supposed Cowboys posters on CZ insisted that Barkley was better than Zeke.

Barkley is not even better than Pollard.
