Breer update on Romo

We'll see...

I think he's back soon.

Lucky for us our first 4 games are soft.

2-2 or 3-1 would be huge.

1-3 or 0-4 would probably mean season over.

Backup QB was such a huge priority this offseason and we ignored it but luckily we stumbled into Dak.
wow...deja vu, huh?

I agree. Probably not going to do anything this season anyway. We have to see if we have a future QB or not.

Look......................If a 100% healthy Romo would go 11-6 and we get beat in the first round or Dak goes 9-7 and we miss the playoffs, give me Dak and the future.

They met with him like 4 or 5 times before the draft. I would think that counts as them scouting him.

I don't think anyone expected him to do what he has done thus far.

So it can be a little bit of both....we did our due diligence on the guy and maybe we got a bit lucky. Bout damned time too!

It's definitely a little of both. We spent a lot of time on draft day trying to trade up for Paxton Lynch. We also were looking at Cook but he was taken right ahead of us.

Dak wasn't one of our top QB targets but we did scout him extensively and he was our fall back option once we couldn't get Lynch or Cook. So yes we did our homework on him but I don't think anyone thought he'd look this good at this point. If so, he would've gone much sooner instead of us trying to get Lynch or Cook.

Oh my gosh, you guys are amazing. To say we didn't address the QB situation is beyond stupid. If we didn't address the QB position Dak wouldn't be here. They did draft him so they addressed it. Maybe not who you guys wanted but they did address it. It is turning out well so far.

I swear some of you look for any ******* thing you can find to complain about. Go back to drinking your urine cocktail.

Stephen Jones has came out and said they didn't expect this from Dak.

Kellen Moore was never an answer. That was some status quo bs.

Dak Prescott is saving all butts right now. Let's see if he carries it over into the regular season because if he can't our season is over thanks to the backup situation they IGNORED.
Nobody expected this from Dak how could they? Are you complaining about a good selection turning out better? geez

I think that they meant that the Cowboys had addressed the backup QB situation, but never expected what they got out of Dak...which is a potential heir to Romo. They didn't intend it when Dak was drafted and it was more of a happy occurrence.

Personally, I'm excited and still think we should be drafting QB's on occasion so we never have to face the situation we had last year, or worse, when Aikman retired.

First 4 games are soft? Division games are never soft. Win those and we will be alright.
