Commander fans better hope they have a pretty good season this year. I could easily see McNabb leaving to play for Minnesota in 2011 if they don't.

I wouldnt be suprised by that at all. I thought he was headed their anyway.

Did he ever sign an extension in washington yet?

In September, you'll hear reports of him throwing passes to high school kids or something. If his ankle feels better in October, he'll be back.

I didn't hear about that. Not suggesting you are wrong, just not sure.

Edit***no extension was done as of last month.

Guess they never got it done, I remember hearing they were close. I think even on the day of the trade. Yea I can see him in Minny next year

Donovan McNabb reaffirmed his pledge to remain with the Washington Commanders for the long term on Tuesday.
McNabb said that while contract negotiations may not be on a fast track now, he's confident he'll work out a deal to stay in Washington beyond the expiration of his current deal after the 2010 season.
"That will happen," McNabb said of his contract, via Commanders.com, "maybe sooner than later, but the thing about it is at this point I truly don't focus on it."

From reading the twittertubes sounds like Minny is going to give Favre a rasie to come back.

Yawn. Hes coming back.

He was scheduled to make $12m this year. I don't think money is the issue.

Theyre talking upwards of $20M.

If Minny comes out 1-2 and the calls for the King to return are loud enough I think itll happen

$20m for one year?! That organization is pathetic.

Yeah it's always mentioned on the sports stations in DC daily. They are very concerned that McNabb hasn't signed yet.

So...he's fully baked? No wonder he throws so many interceptions.

In oh so many ways......

Their stable of quarterbacks consists of a 41 year old guy with injury problems, Tavaris Jackson, Sage Rosenfehls, and a rookie that they picked up in the 6th round. What lapse of logic and common sense led them to ignore drafting or trading for a quality QB? Especially when the rest of the team is championship caliber?

Good for us though....................

True, but as they say, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

The Vikings will still be one of the top teams without Favre. I predict they still win their division.
