I would lol if Tavaris kills it in the 1st 3 games and has MVP numbers.

Favre would still do his thing, but it would be a ****storm for him. And the pressure would be insane.

I have no pity for the Viqueens. They did it to themselves. They made themselves basically Favre's ***** for the better part of the last two years. How can a starting quarterback be allowed to miss training camp? The Viqueens are pathetic. Circle Oct. 17 on your calenders boys, vengence will be ours!

If Favre does retire, and I hope he does, the Packers game just got much bigger for the Cowboys.

Also, the Giants and Falcons benefit as well, imo.

If he doesn't play, the Vikings will not make the playoffs, imo.

Carolina is kind of an unknown on defense.

The Bears have to like it, too.

I look at Dallas, NY Giants, Green Bay, Minnesota, Atlanta, and New Orleans.

The NFC West gets their division champion in, so someone is getting left out.

It's a quarterback driven league.

I'll take:

Romo
Manning
Rodgers
Ryan
Brees

Yes, yes, and yes, are my answers.

Green Bay is legit. And I hate to say that, I'm surrounded by the lame-*** NFC North and all their fans lol

I don't think the GB defense is legit. They got manhandled by the Steelers late in the regular season and by the Cardinals in the playoffs. They were terrible in 2008. I think the 2010 version won't be as bad as 2008, but they won't be as good as 2009. They will have a drop off on the defensive side.

Was it 53 points in that playoff game?

Peter King just tweeted to look closely at the Vikings Week 4 bye.

You can bet Favre gave him that tidbit.

Would his teammates welcome as a hero and savior or just a jerk? He would miss all of training camp, all of preseason and the first 3 regular season games. Why would his teammates think he is committed to winning if he came back during the bye week?

I know he is good and all, but you can't miss that much time and not miss a beat. Peyton Manning missed training camp and pre-season a couple of years ago due to his knee and it took him several regular season games to hit his stride and play at the level that everyone is accustomed to seeing.

He better stay down this time. I'm so sick of him.

It is good for us, but he should not have kept the vikings in limbo like that.

This is what pisses me off the most about all of this. He's a good QB (obviously), but the fact that he's pretty much playing the team in a way, is what makes him come off as a complete and total DIVA.

Family insider: Brett Favre still mulling retirement decision

Brett Favre has not yet made a decision on whether to return to the Minnesota Vikings for the 2010 NFL season, an unnamed person close to Favre's family told the Biloxi Sun Herald.

Earlier Tuesday, the AP, Fox Sports and Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that Favre had informed the Vikings that he had opted against playing.

"Brett has not made a commitment to play or a decision to return at this point," the Favre insider told the Sun-Herald.

Favre's brother, Scott Favre, also spoke to the Sun-Herald. "I have heard no truth to that (retirement)," Scott Favre said. "I know he can still play and I want him to keep playing."

Vikings coach Brad Childress denied after Tuesday morning's practice that Favre had told him he would be retiring. He called the situation "very fluid."

Fox Sports reported that Vikings officials were trying to change Favre's mind and would even consider sweetening the $13 million salary he's set to earn.

Favre, 40, had surgery on his left ankle in May and has consistently said this year that he doesn't know if his body can withstand a 20th NFL season.

Vikings TE Visanthe Shiancoe told ESPN Radio on Tuesday that he believed Favre's retirement talk was not a ploy.

"What I'm hearing is that it is true, that he did decide to retire," Shiancoe said. "But until I hear it from his mouth, I'm going to leave it at that."

Shiancoe added that a potential retirement from Favre would be "a blow to the team" for the Vikings, who lost to the Saints in the NFC title game last year.

I wouldn't doubt it. Childress is a joke. If he was a real coach, he would tell Farve to take a hike. No player should hold an NFL team hostage like this.

I do not believe this is the end of the Favre saga. I have never seen any person/player that enjoys so much being in the news. I for one, will ignore this news and abstain from palying Favre´s game.

If he plays, Spencer and Ware will make him reconsider retirement.

<sigh>

Brett Favre hasn't retired from anything except training camp.

Get with the program, people.

I'd actually have more respect for his situation if he just came out and said it. We all know it's the case. I don't think anyone would hold it against him too much.
