yep you want to be ready in 2-3 years when columbo will be 32 or 33, too old to play RT

we still will need to draft another OT at LT and possibly a guard and center,
leonard davis is 30 i think
columbo is 30 i think
kosier is 30
flozell is 33 i think

so in 3-4 years these players will be too old, havent heard anything good from doug free or mcquistan, so we do need some young blood at offensive line

i will scream next year in the draft if we take another defensive linemen or linebacker with our top pick in 1st round, we sure do need some stud offensive linemen and possibly a young stud wr, takes wrs generally 2 to 3 years to blossom

Uh, dude 32,33 is an Oline prime. That is why I laugh when everyone says our Oline is so old.

O-line is not the same as running back. You can play well up to your mid 30's.

I have heard that they really like Doug Free and consider him our future LT, so why wouldn't they move Brewster to RT? Makes sense to me.

Hey Hostile, does your source think this is a make or break camp for Free, or does he expect him to actually get some PT this year?

Hos, next time you talk to your Deep Throat, ask him WHY when the Hotel could not lift his arm and had that infected hand that prevented him from punching, they did not even TRY FREE at LT? Not even for a quarter or so. NOT even for a play. If they are so high on him but they did not try him even then what does that REALLY say?
I did ask that and never got an answer that satisfied me. Frankly that bothered me all last year.

Is there any reason why some of these heckling children aren't banned from the forum already? Screw "Registered" dates, they're acting really juvenile. I won't point out names.

Of course I know it's not my job to question anyones authority or willingness to ban someone here, but this is like the second time I've seen a thread quasi-derailed by some bickering posters.
We are very slow to ban people. It bothers some posters. We would rather be viewed as erring on the part of fair than as quick triggered for little or no reason. Like banning someone for not liking Taylor Hicks for instance. Never will happen here.

I'll ask. It's a good question.

No offense, but you actually had Dallas drafting Pat McQuistan? Are you sure you didn't have them drafting Paul McQuistan since virtually no one knew anything about his much, much less-heralded brother?

nope I had them taking Pat late

OK, I find that hard to believe but will give you the benefit of the doubt.

Do you also have him going to Miami this preseason, because I think that's where he'll end up by the end of training camp?

For the record, the same person who told me back in February that Ellis would not be on this team come Camp time and the same person who told me we were going hard after Roy Williams.

Same guy who gave you the scoop on Everage?

Only kidding.....

I love it when you share info on the boards. I'm glad you continue to do so even when you got some flack for the Roy Williams threads, etc....

LMAO Oh I got you pegged now.

oh an you can make these judgemant how ? based on what ?

I am just trying to be civil. See you obviously don't know me because if you look at my posts I love to be confrontational.

so I can handle it

Heres a hint though, tough guy: standing up like a man does not involve making banal, accusatory statements to people you're just meeting without having the common decency to at least try and get an idea of who these people are. Thats not being a man; thats being a moron.

never said any thing about being a Internet bully ? unlike you

who an was I accussing an about what ? I seen nothing

I think you should take a look in the mirror before you accussing me of anything ?

Typically if someone does behave in this manner its an adolescent that has some need to prove himself.

look in the mirror again

But see thats the thing, people that don't have the cajones to do that type of thing in person come to places like this and do it. Like I said: its sad.

I do

I dont know who you are and quite frankly I don't care.

well then get of my case - I don't care who you are either

I just want you to stop being an idiot.

no idiot here sonny

thats it bye bye fuzzie have a nice life puttin other people down

I come accross internet tough guys everyday what I am I

suppose to do shake in my boots - sorry not happening

Roflmao

its my opinion we will see

Well, your opinion is wrong in the face of actual facts. You've just been shown that Holland has started 65% of the games he's been in. Therefore, he is not a career backup. If you're your "own man" like you claim to be, then admit you're wrong when you have clearly been shown as such.

yea I can tell four

an apologies for today

did not mean to offend I am not like that

but will defend what I believe to be right and know every one has there own opinions

I can sometimes take things to seriously - but man this not life or death were talkin a message board

We, as fans are critics. We naturally critique our teams, our players, other teams, other teams players. We see things how they are prepared through the media. Weather true, false, or taken out of context. We see, we hear, we judge, we form our opinions.

Brewster is learning the NFL game as a backup to Cowboys starting right tackle Marc Colombo

http://www.thestarpress.com/article/20090709/SPORTS/907090331

The Cowboys projected Brewster as a tackle or guard when they drafted him, but so far he has focused only on the tackle position
.
Cowboys offensive line coach Hudson Houck is considered one of the top coaches at his position in the NFL. Brewster loves the knowledge Houck has imparted on him.

"I think he's going to make me a hell of a player," Brewster said. "I love the way he teaches the game. He'll stay after meetings or come in on weekends to go over film with me."

HERE I thought the problem was at Left Guard ?

I think thats our bad spot

then next year they have to draft a LT or go buy one
Couldn't that also mean that the coaching staff are confident about Doug Free as our future OLT?

No, that was Everage's agent. He may have been wrong about his client's talent, but he knew he was in Oxnard.
