Easy there, tenderheart. Small sample size is what was said. Wasn't long ago that folks were patting Guyton in the back for doing a decent job against Myles Garrett. As the sample size grew so did the flaws.
This is my issue as well. Hoffman may end up a very good player, but its too early to crown him. Guyton got props for handling Myles Garrett, but really it was Steele that took the majority of reps against Garrett. I think Garrett only lined up on Guytons side maybe 10 times or so. This past week Tomlinson was only matched up on Hoffman 1v1 for 5 reps. The vast majority of snaps he was lined up over Beebe or Smith. Hoffman played a hell of a game against the Giants dont get me wrong, but I think Cooper Beebe should be getting a ton of credit for shutting down Tomlinson. Need to see more snaps from Hoffman for sure to see if he is truly a dependable player going into 2025 or if hes really more of a high end backup.

You are among the worst of understanding football or evaluating players.

Best if you stop posting and sounding so ignorantly ridiculous.
Once again you are incredibly, stupidly wrong. Your need to create arguments overwhelms whatever good sense you possess. And you do have some, I know it, because I replied to it.
The video you showed in the other thread was absolute beast mode. We need a guy like that in the middle of the D line.
That is comment #82 IN THE VERY LINK YOU HAVE THERE.

And here? Comment #50 in this thread: https://cowboyszone.com/threads/if-the-cowboys-lose-to-the-bengals.530326/page-3

Man that is some old school football right there!
So either you have some serious reading comprehension problems...or me complimenting you on your opinion/player assessment is "the worst understanding of football or evaluating players".

Which is it?

A lot of people are slow to come around to the idea that a beloved player has declined. Jerry will keep guys (and pay them) well past their prime. Maybe it’s financially related (jersey sales) or maybe it’s just being in denial.

You are entitled to your opinion. U.S. arguing about it won’t change the underlying facts, or the truth.

I’m a Cowboys fan and I love the Cowboys organization and players. But I always do my best to separate my fandom from the facts. Facts are facts.

It’s funny how many people are finally realizing that Martin is in serious decline. They will only admit the truth when they can no longer deny the facts.

We're talking about being a football fan (any fan really)...not mathematics. People find it in their nature and fun to cheer on the team and players as long as possible, especially one as accomplished and loved as Martin.
This robotic "facts are facts"...well seems like condescending virtue signally right there. It comes off as "I'm better fan and know more than you".

Well...good fans are indeed....emotional, loyal, supportive...right up to the end. Which it seems Martin has finally reached....at least here.

In other words...****** Spock we're fans not espn..

This defense is pretty healthy right now, what’s their excuse? This coaching staff with Zimmer just sucks. Can’t wait to hear skeletor talk about resigning this staff again.
