all this talk about a natural position amuses me
Martin played Tackle all his college career but his natural position was guard
Tyler Smith was supposed to be the new LT but his natural position was guard
You do not know which is which until a few years into the pros
It’s about getting the best five on the line and if Bebe needs to move to guard so Hoffman can start at center then so be it

They're not giving up his right tackle position until they see if he can stick to the left tackle but they have a whole another offseason besides the rest of this season but a preseason to play around with these lineups this dude is not a bust at left tackle yet so let's stop acting like they're already made the decision on that they're gonna try to make him a tackle if not sure you get back to the right tackle... But like I said one way or the other he's not gonna be a boss I believe this kids gonna stick and he's gonna be fine...

I think he will be fine, and I'm not saying he's a bust at all. I'm just saying that we can put Tyler Smith at LT, Bass at LG, Beebe at C, Hoffman at RG, and Guyton at RT potentially. That'd be efficient. Or, Guyton, Tyler, Beebe, Hoffman, and Steele works too. Either works. I think Guyton will be fine either way, but I just think, given what he played in college, that he might be a little better at RT. In no way was that intended or written to be in a way that makes me think he's a bust.

but bebee is not as good as Bass and thus he might be a swing inside player.

IMHO, the best 5 would be to let Steele walk, move Guyton to RT, move Smith to LT, Bass to replace Martin and then bebee, and hoffman can play the center/guard..

There is no real indication that Tyler Smith can be as good a LT as he is a Guard. Leave him there.

Gotta keep playing the guys who are playing well. That is the right thing to do for the other guys putting in the effort.

How or why would you put Hoffman back on the bench . He’s part of the future with Bass and make Smith & Guyton your tackles .

Have been watching....He's the key going forward....still think he's the center we have been missing. Would allow us to get everyone in their right positions....

LT- Smith
LG- Beebe
C- Hoffman
RG- Bass
RT- Guyton

Exactly. Except I would leave Beebe right where he is let Hoffman take over RG

This line is filled with so many young players. They can only get better.

Barring injury, a huge qualifier, this offensive line should be really good in 2025. They deserve NFL level RB's.

To be honest this was the first game that Hoffman really impressed me on tape. The previous week against Washington I thought he was very average. Going back to last year the starts he had against Carolina and Arizona I think you can see the potential, but I struggle to say he played well. I fear the Hoffman hype is from watching mostly bad OL play the last couple years so fans are clinging onto any hope they can find.

I wont write him off because I did really like what I saw against the Giants, but we certainly need to see more snaps from him. It'll be a tough decision at the end of the year as I imagine other teams will have interest in him as well.
And who was he blocking? Did the DT have any moves/strength? Was he blocking a JAG?

Sometimes a player can look good simply because he matches up well w/ the guy across from him. For example, a power blocker may be able to stymie a power rusher, but a speed rusher may run around him like he's not even there.

And last week when running behind Hoffman the Cowboys had 8 carries for 24 yards. Having a 100 yard rusher has had more to do with sticking with the run game, and feeding one guy more than anything. This was just the 2nd game all year that Dowdle has had 20+ carries.
And the opposing D having a crappy DLine.

Rico has had 3 games with 80+ yards rushing this season.

vs PIT
vs WAS
vs NYG

the last 2 game with Brock Hoffman in at RG.

Is he the reason? maybe, maybe not, but there's no doubt the OLine is playing better with Hoffman.

I'd hate to bench Zack.. he deserves better than that. But I mean if things are working, you gotta stuck with Hoffman

Martin shouldn’t play again.

Either he’s hurt or he’s done; he’s not capable right now to start
