The players you just listed are all JAGS at this point. Every team has them on their rosters.

Don't go overboard there. They could still like him and putting him waived injured opens up a roster spot. It's likely he needs surgery, no need to keep him on the roster if so. He's a guy that was available on the street a few months ago so I doubt they would be worried someone is going to pick him up.

You maybe right, this could be a move to get him to IR. Either way, we are thin at DL right now. I would not be surprised if we have our eye on a couple of guys that might get released when rosters start getting trimmed in the preseason.

Unfortunate news.. Really thought he had a chance to be a player here.

Relax, everything is fine.

Remember a few years back when we all knew Brad Johnson had nothing left in the preseason and Romo went down? Remember last year when offensive line was a glaring need and we signed 2 scrubs to be starters? Forget about the unresolved safety issue we have had since Woody left. Everything is alright. Nothing to see here. We drafted another CB and WR. We are set.

I hear what you're saying, but I think a much safer thing to do right now would be to freak out. I find it makes everything better for everybody if you can somehow just manage to blow problems out of proportion, or to complain a lot about things that aren't going to change, regardless. Calmly expressing regret about what didn't happen is ok, too, but even that's better if you can the 'calmly' part.

Nothing will be alright. Everything is broken. We should have spent the draft on OGs. Then we'd be set. Jerry Jones, 17 years of futility, Jason Garrett has red hair, right-kind-of-guys, process.

I will hold out hope that he will be able to contribute this year until I see that he has been released.

The new league year doesn't start until June 1. He is being placed on IR. I just don't understand why they didn't out and out release him after an injury settlement. I know he does not have to be placed on IR in order to get an injury settlement.

I mean it could be that he is being waived to see if someone would rather take on the liability. Either way it frees up a roster spot.

It is possible that they are just putting him on the IR so they can bring one more player to the OTA's and minicamps while his shoulder heals. The rules only disallow transfer from IR to the active roster during the season. They can xfer him back to the roster later if need be. I guess you have to have him go through waivers to place him on the IR.

If he clears waivers, he would revert to the team's injured reserve list.According to ESPN the fat lady hasn't sung yet.

I'm calm. I don't even mind that we passed on Floyd, as I thought he was way over rated. I just don't like the fact that we transitioned to a 4-3, but didn't draft any extra linemen. They need to bring in someone to compete with Lissemore, Bass, and Callaway.

To my untrained eye we look thinner at DE than at DT. Crawford is a DT? Price was/is a DR.

I think Crawford is a tweener. I believe he will be a DE, but no clue. Yes, we are thin at every position on the dline.

I would think Crawford is a little too lean for DT.

I still have no idea why people revel in the failure of others when that individual has done nothing to them.

He is reverting to the IR according to Archer so we will see.

Self esteem issues. Ragging on others makes them feel superior. If you disagree with them, they attack you and get to feel even better about themselves. It is really sad, but you see a lot of it now days. I think the Internet brings it out more.

Yes, I think Parnell and Church look to have upside as quality starters. Moore looks like a possible 3rd CB or maybe a hybrid safety/CB type of player. Albright looks like a smart guy who can play multiple positions adequately well enough to spot start for a few games a year and may even max out as a guy who can start but be a below avg starter. McCray is a decent STer who has no business being on the field for defensive snaps.

That is an okay return given the minimal investment we have made and we need to be able to find guys like this if we want to have a roster with multiple franchise player salaries like we do in Romo, Ware, Carr and Spencer right now and Witten, Rat and Free just a smidge behind in the second tier. When you have 7 star salaries like that they eat up well over half of your available cap space and you have to scrimp and save elsewhere. To do that you need multiple young draft picks who contribute as starters early, UDFAs who come in and win jobs cheaply as well as vet FAs in the bargain bin to fill gaps in the roster.

Supposedly he's getting bigger and the team thinks he can play both 1 and 3 techniques along with SDE. If he can play 1 then he might be the starter. Kiffin's defense (like Jimmy Johnson's) is predicated on speed not size.

Im all for churning the bottom of the roster.. but i don't understand why JG does this crap where he signs a guy and then releases him a day or two later. It makes no sense.. you don't look smart doing that, you look like you have no idea what you're doing.

DE
Ware
Spencer
Wilber
Possibly Albright
Possibly Crawford
(No real backup rush end, unless Spencer moves over to RDE to spell Ware or in case of injury.)

DT
Ratliff
Hatcher
Lissemore
Possibly Crawford
Possibly Bass
Possibly Callaway
(Not sure about the last two options)
