Yeah, those 2 coverage sacks on that last drive and the stalled drive before that show that obviously they would have scored had he not bobbled the handoff.
Because the Eagles were working with little time and Philly had to take deeper throws. You give the Eagles 4 or 5 minutes, they would have easily scored on that coverage, just like they were doing all game.
The Cowboys were essentially playing prevent the whole game. There is a reason you play prevent only in the last
few minutes of the game.
The fact is, the Eagles pretty much matched the Cowboys in terms of TOP even in the second-half, which is saying a lot for the vaunted Dallas defense, the one you claim totally dominated the Eagles. Two drives where the Eagles shot themselves in the foot, with a fumble and 10 yard penalty and the Eagles still were controlling the ball. We aren't even counting the dropped passes by wide-open receivers by the Eagles and duds thrown by McNabb.
BTW, the stalled drive, as I said before, had to do with an offensive penalty by the Eagles, and little to do with the Cowboys defense. They almost blew the 10 yards they got handed to them, because McNabb threw a ten yarder, just shy of the first.
I think it was the last drive, prior to the Eagles little trick play, an Eagles receiver missed an easy pass from Mcnabb, which would have garnered a first down, because the CB, I believe Mike Jenkins, was playing so far off the receiver.
