It doesn’t look like you’ve been on this board too long, so I suggest you good back to before the 2011 draft and look at the arguments on this board (and others) about whether he would be good or not and whether w should take him.

There was nothing universal about it.

And while he gets more inside information than the regular hacks, he sometimes has to make an educated guess just like everyone else (although with more education than many who post there).

Why in the heck would I care what some hack on here says about him? I'm talking about "experts". He was a consensus top 10 pick. Those type of players should be good. To say it, doesn't make you right, it just makes you a show a small amount of knowledge.

He also said the sky was blue, he's never wrong!

I have to concur that he was pretty close to spot on this year with his info. The only thing that surprised him was the Hitchens and Smith picks.

Too many guys in the Dallas media knew where too many players were slotted on the draft board. I even got the impression that Broaddus and some of the other guys had a copy of it. They knew exactly where late round picks were slotted as soon as they were selected. That's not recall memory. Those guys had cheat sheets. Remember the clamoring for Ken Bishop towards the end of the draft? He was probably just the highest guy left on the board. Cavanaugh doesn't know anything about Ken Bishop.

I imagine Dallas's drafting would improve significantly if they wouldn't advertise all of their moves in advance. Is it any shock that the Steelers took Shazier at 15 when the Dallas media was tweeting all day that he would be the pick at 16 if Donald and Barr were gone?
