The way I see it we've got 3 quite contrasting backs (and Dunbar...)

If nothing else it will mean that if one back's approach isn't working, ie the defence is too fast for DMC to turn the corner on, or if they're plugging too many holes for Randle to wiggle through, then we can send in Michael to pound it through them instead.

Could be hard to stop.

Im just kinda mad they didnt make this move before, now hes behind the 8ball. He could have had his whole training camp here.

Won't take long for him to learn our offense and I doubt they want to play him right away.

He may be inactive a lot this year just so they can avoid paying the 7th rounder.

If there is an injury... He'll be activated.. If not then I doubt he is ever active.

Yeah, because let's face it, a guy who is a short yardage guy is worth more than paying a play maker.

I like our RB corps now versus paying murray big money.

And murray isn't as much of a "playmaker" as he is a product of the oline. He got what was blocked. So will the guys we have now, for much less $$.

I think he might eventually become the starting or featured back this year. MacFadden and Randle are the same type of backs. They go down too easily and aren't the type of backs you want grinding for extra yardages during the waning moments of a game. CMike is more talented than Randle and would be a compliment MacFadden. Insurance he may be. But has more potential to be starter than the other backs we got so far.

CMike is an injury concern just as the rest. He needs work in pass pro. He has the features you want but hasn't been able to put it together so I wouldn't get too excited just yet.

I'm not a huge fan of this argument. Murray dealt with injuries the first three years, but he always produced when he got the carries, even when we had guys like Phil Costa blocking for him.

Scouting Report: Evaluating The Game Tape Of New RB Christine Michael
Sunday, September 06, 2015 4:46 PM CDT
broaddus-twitter-small.jpg

By Bryan Broaddus
Football Analyst/Scout @BryanBroaddus

Name: Christine Michael
Position: RB
College: Texas A&M
Height: 5-10
Weight: 220
Draft: 62nd overall by Seattle, 2013

Games Studied: 2015 preseason vs. DEN, KC, SD, OAK; 2014 regular season vs. NYG, PHI, ARZ

Report: Michael is a square-built player that is thick in both the upper and lower body. He shows an initial burst to and through the hole, he but doesn’t have long range speed. He was much better in the preseason turning the corner with speed than he was last year.

He’s a physical finisher with the ball in his hands -- more likely to run over you than avoid with moves. Will lower his shoulder or throw a stiff arm in a tackler’s face to buy separation. Always trying to extend the play and fight for extra yards. Runs with lower body power.

In 2014 he was put in against the Eagles to kill the last two minutes of the game, and, against an eight-man box, he was able to grind out a first down. He runs low to the ground and keeps his legs moving.

Dmac is injury prone. Randle can't pass protect. Dunbar is nothing more than a change of pace back. While CMike has all the tools given to him and he just has to put it all together. Will see what he'll do with his opportunity in Dallas.

Yes he has issues. He needs work. So what? Maybe a change of scenery in Dallas will make things better for him. If not Dallas losses nothing more than a 7th rounder which really is not a big deal. If he does put it together, he would probably be the most talented runningback we got in this bunch.

I like the move. Just think he serves as insurance to Mcfadden(the most talented back) and randle. Not as a featured back unless someone gets hurt.

And randle is still the only one in the sable without any lost time to injury.

Listen Debbie Downer, get the passblocking bs out of your ear and the injury just waiting to happen thing too. We should be very excited because this guy has a chance to do something that Randle and McFadden never will be able to do regardless how good our line is and that is become a STUD. There is a reason why Seahawks fans are upset that this guy came to our squad and I think we will all see much sooner rather than later.....probably not Sunday night but not too long after

The second coming of Marion the Barbarian. :omg:

No way. This guy has crazy burst. Wait till you see how quick this guy hits the hole. Put it this way, if he was running the ball in Green Bay Peppers would never had gotten a hand on him.
