If the team stands pat. Fans are mad. If the team makes changes. The fans are still mad.

Me thinks you just want to be mad.

Me thinks you make no sense.

They have yet to deliver the required change - a new head coach.

Man, I was mad last night. That was a steaming pile of poo !
But.
I'm a calmer this morning.
Here is my main hope to cling to after this season that came to a crashing halt last night.
Jerry Jones senses his mortality - it has been said he was really upset when the owner of the Texans passed. He does not have unlimited years left.
This is now becoming a lot more "urgent" to him.
I do feel there are plenty of good building blocks within this team, we are on the comeup.
I will be watching closely this offseason to see how this FO approaches 1) Coaching.2) Draft and Free Agency. 3) Team Structure and Philosophy.
For some reason, I think/hope he and his son, along with McClay realise this may be Jerry's last good chance - and will act accordingly.....

He already has, just not as a coach

And like then, his only chance of winning another is latching onto some team and have them win one for him.

He’ll never lead a team to a SB.

From DC.com

I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen with this coaching staff in the offseason. Change is always a possibility. Even teams that have some success will change their staff when other coaches become available. I believe Jason Garrett will make some changes to this staff. Garrett has already proven that he’s not afraid to make a change, like he did midseason with Paul Alexander and Marc Columbo. If I had to make a guess, it won’t be just one or two guys. I hear the rumblings in the building, so I will patiently wait -- but I have a feeling things will happen more sooner than later. Next Monday we head to the Senior Bowl where the majority of NFL coaches will be. It would not shock me one bit to hear of Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett meeting with prospective coaches -- so stay tuned.

My guess - Linehan, Moore and new ST coach.
please get rid of linehan and put in a quick passing game offense to get the ball out of prescotts hand sooner. I am tired of these long pass plays that result in to many sacks. we need more screens.

LOL.

Didn’t we make changes last year?

How many times are we going to change assistants and the roster before we realize the problem goes beyond that?

Holy crap, we might be the dumbest franchise in the NFL right now.

Nicely done. Spot on.

Garrett should become the backup QB, just like in our good ole superbowl days.

i'm convinced there are people paid by the cowboys organization to post here as viral marketers. there's no way anyone reasonable could want more of this after 10 years of mediocrity and failure. Can't wait for more second round exits.

Only a 'possibility' of coaching changes?

But the problem goes beyond the head coach too. We've changed head coaches a bunch during Jerry's time and it's been a long time since even a good hire has yielded serious results. Though obviously the bad hires predictably threw gas on the fire and made things worse.

Until Jerry dies or steps away, we're treading water. Real owners who really want to win hire real General Managers to run their teams in professional sports. That's demonstrably not what the Joneses are about, sadly. They don't care that much about the team winning.

We ALL know that's going to happen. Although Linehan was running the clapper's O scheme he'll take the blame....and get fired. Rod is going to retire....that's obvious......
BUT in the end it won't matter it'll be another 4 to 5 years before a change is finally made......get used to that.
Rod already said he wants to come back in 2019

Until the culture changes things will never change, they keep firing everyone except the guy who's been here since 07.

That Garrett appears so entrenched is depressing. He will NEVER win a SB.
People forget Sean Payton had play calling duties stripped from him when with the Giants. Coaching is a craft one must improve every year too. I don't mind aggressive Garrett, and you can't argue that guys don't play for him.
