So we give Richard credit when they play good but it’s Marinelli’s fault when they play bad?

Richards been in charge of this defense all season and the guy who has been a nfl head coaching canidate was in charge of it last night as well.
Richard is a winner. He's proven that. He gets a pass from me. Who would you replace him with,Im curious? Not sure you watched the same game as I did.

From DC.com

I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen with this coaching staff in the offseason. Change is always a possibility. Even teams that have some success will change their staff when other coaches become available. I believe Jason Garrett will make some changes to this staff. Garrett has already proven that he’s not afraid to make a change, like he did midseason with Paul Alexander and Marc Columbo. If I had to make a guess, it won’t be just one or two guys. I hear the rumblings in the building, so I will patiently wait -- but I have a feeling things will happen more sooner than later. Next Monday we head to the Senior Bowl where the majority of NFL coaches will be. It would not shock me one bit to hear of Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett meeting with prospective coaches -- so stay tuned.

My guess - Linehan, Moore and new ST coach.

That would be a great start....

Im curious too. Seems to me the coaches overachieved up until the Rams exposed us. The Rams are the vastly better team in the trenches were it matters most...it showed all night in spades.

They and the Colts.

Also its easy to forget we had to go to OT to beat Eagles in rematch, and a 4th and 15 shootout with Giants.

We weren't beating people by double digits......

Get a new HC and let him build his own staff
letting JG constantly make changes and remain the constant is just spinning your wheels. How many years can u blame the asst coaches? ITS THE HEAD COACH JERRY

We can say this until our faces are blue, but it’s not going to happen. At least not next year. So all we can realistically talk about is what changes are possible. O-Coordinator is a possible change, and one I would welcome.

Garret is not jumping off this gravy train. He's making 6 million a year and is held responsible for nothing.

Exactly, where do we sign up for a similar job? The guy is a genius...........no sorry, Jerry is an idiot.

ok...since this IS a fan board..let me pose a question. Do we even DARE bring in Mike McCarthy for an interview? Would he entertain any notion of being the OC..OR HC IN WAITING? My guy,as you all know, is Kris Richard..but Im just asking.Thoughts?

Bring him in. He at least can teach the Green Bay " legalized holding " to our lineman...... and get receivers open, in addition to being 10X the QB coach Moore wasn't

Promote Richard to D coordinator with Marinelli in backup/consultant role.

Monitor how both do and then decide who is next HC. Bump Garrett up to GM or some other form to work with Clay/Stephen and have JJ officially focus on marketing....

With Mike McCarthy still available, Jerry would show the fans he is serious about winning if he cut bait and started interviews with that guy.
Why? He couldn't come up with a successful offensive scheme with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. There's a reason that guy is on the street. He's the most overrated coach in the NFL.

You can’t do that.

You can’t say Dallas was pretenders on defense all year and CJ Anderson exposed us.

It was their pre-snap movements and misdirection.

If they just lined up and ran it we would be fine. We’d be a top 5 run defense like we had been all year.

McVay had our defense on their heels. No answers for all the pre-snap motion and misdirection.

They also went fast pace.
Yep. We were completely schemed out of our defense. The killer is that that were no adjustments to what they were doing. Sickening.

I disagree. Look at his record. He would be a significant upgrade to what the Cowboys are doing now and looks like the best remaining.

So let me get this straight, Richard Comes in and takes over playcalling and the defense performs at the highest level it has in over a decade, his defense had a bad playoff outing after a great one, which he stands up like a man and takes full responsibility and you want to hold him accountable for that one game (not to mention against the number 2 team in points and yards, i.e. sometimes you have to give credit to the other team... they get paid rooki play too). It's so easy to be a fan and hold everyone accountable for every bad play and bad result.

I think McCarthy is one of those guys the NFL has passed by. I dont think he will have much success in his next stop

I hope Garrett fires himself, I cant take another decade of his stupid face

The honorable thing to do, would be for him to aconowledge he sucks and step aside. He has to be well aware by now that the fans don't care for him, and media considers him a buffoon whipping boy for Jerry.

Richard was great this year.

He got schooled last night.

Marinelli is getting blamed. That’s what I have a problem with. Marinelli was in clap mode.

I am 99% certain Marinelli steps aside and the reigns handed to Kris Richard.
I think that decision was made when he was hired
I think our ST coverages were bad though the return side is more about not having a return guy than coach but the coverage is in the coach
The O scheme has to be moved into the 21st century
