Broaddus on the GameTape comments

Said Tyler Smith was worse than Guyton . And it might be time to shut Tyler Smith down until they find out what’s wrong with him.

Said it’s TIME to get a real right tackle and it’s time to get Steele off the field.

Said Schottenheimer had a real bad game - play calling -,the sideline passes were an awful idea.
Choosing to punt was was mind-boggling.

Said OSA was horrendous and has been outplayed by Thomas.

Said Javonte William had an awful game pass blocking.

Said the Cowboys should’ve signed Milton Williams as was being discussed he wound up with the Pats and is crushing it.

Said Sean Payton embarrassed us with his play calling and their playbook is deep.

Said they took away Jake Ferguson as their key to beating the Cowboys and that was it. Ferguson had a non-football afternoon.
All due to tremendous coaching.

Said any trade, the Cowboys make here on out has to be for the long-term and for next season and beyond.
Forget about this season.

The Denver linebackers are unbelievable, and we were ill prepared to handle them.

Said Booker had his worst game of the year.

Said this is not a number offense either - maybe in the upper echelon but not number one.

He said he has no idea Cason didn’t get a look at cornerback. The other guy chimed in that he was terrible last year.

And then they really laid in the hammer and now on the Cowboys drafting about how they could get away with not signing for agents because during the Garrett error, they actually drafted pretty well and into the McCarthy era.
The drafting has fallen off so bad that this is the end. Result of it bust after bust has now caught up with us plus not spending any money in free agency.

And we all know who the draft guru is in Dallas - Will McClay a total fraud.
Those are my words, not his.
Tyler Smith gave up one pressure, one sack and had key blocks on two TD runs by Javonte, he was beast inside all day in the run game and played very well in the pass game outside that sack, I'm calling BS. He dropped his head on the sack, rare. Shut him down?..Weird to even say, drama club stuff.

Guyton two pressures and one really bad sack, he got beat to the inside pretty bad, great play by the defensive guy. Steele gave up two pressures, he's terrible. Booker and Hoffman... zero pressures and nice holes all day in the run game.

Booker's worst game? If that's his floor, he's a hall of famer, he played well.

Booker and Tyler Smith slipped a few times on that grass field, and there were some issues with Dak, line and cadence, it's loud there but those two guys are beasts.

Javonte pass blocking wasn't great but situational. One play they blitzed him up the middle with two inside LB's, there was confusion with him and Tyler. On the second Dak pick, the end beats Steele so fast Javonte was surprised. That was no excuse for the pick in Q4, Dak and Lamb we're not on the same page.

Real Game Summary: Dak Prescott had a bad day, the two INT's really hurt us, our Defensive scheme is awful, our LB's should be on the PS and our secondary was made up of PS guys

Yeah none of that is true - take your Cowboy pajamas off.

exactly
Smith is not right; get him healed
Guyton I think can still make it as a legit LT but he has got to do better
agree about broadus and Guyton; Broadus has his pet cats and pet hates and he will never admit he is wrong
This team really steams my goats with their injury management....for years.

If Smith is injured and showing it on the field...full stop.

Before you post maybe you should watch the tape. Watch each guy (tyler smith, booker, javonte, steele) play by play. NFL watch is $99/year

Broaddus is an idiot if he said these things, half are untrue....FAKE NEWS

I think as to Tyler Smith, the team has the wrong philosophy. We used a 1st round pick on a GUARD.

I’m not necessarily against using a FRP on a guard if he’s the best player available and his play backs up his draft slot. But it would be better to flip a FRP pro bowl guard for a FRP (and possibly more) and draft another guard in the first round and do it all over again than PAY top 5 guard money.

The Cowboys have their cap all jacked up. At some point they have to decide how to utilize their cap money better. This team has sucked for 30 plus years in large part due to poor cap allocation and overpaying to retain their own.

Been saying it since he was drafted
This is your best OL who can play tackle
Just freaking play him at LT

What was it that made people think this team was ready to win now??

That’s why I didn’t like the Pickens deal. Not that I didn’t like him as a player….and I do even more now….but those are moves for teams that are ready to win and are prepared to lose the player next season and don’t care about the draft pick.

In the end it looks like the people who run this team are just basic fans with less knowledge and talent than those who hang around here….then you have the crew who get all excited every July\August and think/hope they are better than they actually are, often because some fifth or sixth round pick are going to be steals and immediate starters.

Thanks for the breakdown. I disagree with the "fraud" take on Will McClay. According to Broaddus, apparently McClay gives the Jones' the best options but at times COACHES get "their guy".

Bossman Phat, Mazi and a few other guys are examples of coaches getting their way over the draft board and/or need.
