Let Jerry be the tie breaker. What could go wrong???
I say the opposite. Surtain had way better players around him compared to HornAlabama all day and I'm a Longhorns fan.
My goal is really load up with talent not quantityI believe the trade chart gives us a 2. However, they have 2 3's in mid-3rd rd that are very attractive.
Those two third's we our 2, would give us serious ammo to go get whoever we want. Even if we kept them, 6 players in the top 100.My goal is really load up with talent not quantity
If we got 4-5 players in this draft and they were good quality picks I’d be fine if that’s all we got
And we could use a lower pick to entice a second from someone too
I gotta go with the coaches. I know, Rod wanted Taco......but you hire a new staff, let them have some ownership.
What this tells me, Horn is going to be their pick. This morning was probably misinformation to get people to think the Cowboys had to have Surtain. Horn is a very attractive option, he has that dog in him with his competitiveness. His attitude and chip kind of reminds me of Richard Sherman. Different type of players, but competitive as hell. Many insiders have Horn over Surtain, it's really more about which flavor of ice cream you like, as they are closely rated. If Horn fits Quinn's scheme better, make the pick. Certainly helps when Pitts states Horn was the toughest match-up he faced this year.
Actually we drafted for talent last season. Big Mike said we draft the player and make him fit the schemeIt sounds like scheme versus talent, coaches with their scheme/teachability perspective and priority, and scouts approaching it from a capability standpoint. Much like what we talk about around here, the classical debate.
For me, talent should change the scheme, but quite often lately, talented players play out of position in Dallas
Yeah. Let’s repeat the past mistakes that gave us Taco over TJ Watt and Hill over Thornhill.
An old friend of mine is a scout for the cowboys, he's a nice guy, but I'll trust Quinn and his staff on this oneNo way! You pay the scouts for a reason. The coaches give direction to the scouts what their needs are. They take that into consideration already.
Honestly, I think either guy will be good.
Yeah, this is not true. The Cowboys never played the Seattle scheme. NEVER.
That's just wrong.
